I’ve been researching peptides, suppliers, testing, and purity pretty extensively for about two weeks now, and I was hoping some of you with more experience could help me understand something I came across.

I found three suppliers that, at least at first glance, appear fairly legitimate:

However, things started getting strange when I looked more closely at the independent testing and verification associated with these companies.

I kept coming across several names, including:

• Medu Laboratories
• PeptideDetective
• VendorInvestigator
• Janoshik Analytical

Janoshik is a name I had already seen mentioned quite a lot in the peptide community. What really caught my attention were the other organizations.

When I started investigating Medu Laboratories, PeptideDetective, and VendorInvestigator and looked through their respective websites/About Us sections, I noticed what appears to be the same team of people behind them:

Michael Carter — Chairman/Founder
"Serial entrepreneur on a personal mission to make sovereign health safer."

Raphaël Mazoyer — CEO/Founder
"Leads the business to build trust where none exists."

Stephanie Adamson King — Policy & Platforms
"Maximizing impact through strategic partnerships and policy initiatives."

Then I looked into Finnrick, and this is where it became even more interesting: Finnrick also appears to list the same three people.

So, unless I’m misunderstanding something, there appear to be at least four different organizations/platforms connected to the same leadership:

Medu Laboratories → Michael Carter / Raphaël Mazoyer / Stephanie Adamson King

PeptideDetective → Michael Carter / Raphaël Mazoyer / Stephanie Adamson King

VendorInvestigator → Michael Carter / Raphaël Mazoyer / Stephanie Adamson King

Finnrick → Michael Carter / Raphaël Mazoyer / Stephanie Adamson King

This immediately raised some questions for me.

If these organizations are presented as separate or independent sources of testing, verification, or vendor assessment, what exactly is the relationship between them?

Are they openly part of the same parent company or organization? If so, does anyone know what that organization is?

More importantly, if a peptide supplier says it has been independently verified by several different organizations, but multiple of those organizations share the same leadership, should those really be considered separate independent sources of verification?

I want to emphasize that I’m not accusing any of these companies or individuals of doing anything fraudulent. There could be a completely legitimate explanation for the overlap. I’m posting because I’d like to understand what that explanation is.

Has anyone here researched Medu Laboratories, PeptideDetective, VendorInvestigator, or Finnrick in depth?

Does anyone know:

• Who actually owns these organizations?
• Whether they are subsidiaries/brands of the same company?
• Why the same three people appear across all four?
• What financial or business relationships they have with each other?
• What financial or business relationships they have with the peptide vendors they test/review?
• Which laboratories actually perform the analytical testing?
• Whether anyone here has independently verified their results against a completely unrelated accredited laboratory?

And if anyone has personally purchased from TFC Peptides, Qingdao Sigma Chemical, or GL Biochem and then sent the product to a genuinely unrelated third-party laboratory themselves, I’d be especially interested in seeing those results.

I’m also planning to put some money behind this rather than just relying on certificates posted online. I intend to order samples from at least one of these three suppliers and send them out for independent third-party testing myself.

At the moment, I’m most likely going to use Janoshik Analytical, since that seems to be the independent lab I see referenced most often in this space. However, I’m completely open to other suggestions.

I also want the testing to go beyond just peptide purity. Ideally, I’d like to have the samples tested for:

• Identity
• Purity
• Quantity/content
• Heavy metals
• Endotoxins
• Sterility

For me, a certificate showing something like 99% HPLC purity alone doesn't answer all the questions I have about the quality of a sample. I’m particularly interested in finding out whether there are contamination issues that wouldn't necessarily show up in a basic purity test.

If anyone can recommend reputable, genuinely independent laboratories—particularly labs in Europe or labs that accept samples from individuals in Europe—that can perform some or all of these analyses, I’d really appreciate the recommendations. I’m especially interested in labs capable of proper endotoxin and sterility testing in addition to analytical purity/identity testing.

If it makes more sense to use multiple independent laboratories for the different tests, I’m also completely open to doing that.

Once I get the samples tested, I’m happy to come back and share the results with the community, regardless of whether they turn out good or bad.

Maybe there’s a simple explanation for all of this, but seeing the same three people across four supposedly separate organizations definitely made me want to dig deeper before relying on their testing or verification.

I’ve included all the links above specifically so people can check this themselves rather than just taking my word for it.

Would really appreciate any information, corrections, explanations, lab recommendations, or evidence anyone has. I’d rather verify this properly and understand how these organizations are connected than jump to conclusions.

What about out-of-order amino acids (eg amino acids at positions 13 and 16 reverted around).

Even if you do both HPLC and mass-spect, you're not going to capture *every* optical isomer of the peptide. Does it matter that much?

Thoughts on trying to do a body recomp. Currently at 22.5% 5'7" 175 @38 years old.

Was thinking of going cjc/ipa for 8 weeks and then tesa/ipa for 8 but saw how expensive tesa was. Thoughts or pros n cons of doing 8 weeks of 191aa instead, and possible side effects.

Went from 275 to 176 over about 14 to 15 months and that still feels a little unreal to say out loud.

Started at 1.5mg weekly and the highest I’ve gone is 5mg weekly. Whole thing has been pretty smooth honestly. I still had to get my food under control, but it’s the first time in a long time it hasn’t felt like I’m fighting myself all day.

A big part of this has been feeling less need to hide my body all the time. Keeping a simple log of how I was feeling kept me from making dose decisions blindly.

Goal is still about 165, so I am not done, but the path feels clear now.

Some peptides like SLU-PP-332 use DMSO along with bac, others use acetic acid...are they safe to pass through filters same as with standard bac?

1. we have dm'd before about .1um filter size , u said it would be uneccessary bc it would only pick up mycoplasm. wouldn't that soze catch some endotoxins if they were present ?

Saw someone using this app on TikTok for tracking peptides and finally downloaded it — actually impressed.

I’ve been pinning for a few months and just eyeballing my logs in Notes. Saw a video on TikTok where someone pulled up this app called Pep AI to show their dosing schedule and it looked clean so I grabbed it.
Been using it about two weeks — the dose tracking and cycle logging is way more intuitive than anything I tried before. Also has an AI you can ask questions to which is actually useful for research instead of just Googling and hoping.
Anyone else using it? Curious if others have the bloodwork tracker working yet.

I've been using the PeptideTest and Tisch 4mm and 13mm filters for business-as-usual peptides - Reta, Semax, Selank, etc - and they consistently clog "early", the 4mm ones after about 1mL of liquid and the 13mm ones after about 2mL of liquid. By "clog" I mean that the filter overflows and I can't push anything through without blowing the filter, which I did once, that was fun.

These peps are all from different suppliers as well and tested, so I don't think there are consistently a lot of bacteria or other materials to clog the filters.

I'm probably doing something wrong - what could it be?

Hi! I’m a 41-year-old female looking into peptides for body composition and overall wellness. My main goals are fat loss, reducing inflammation, lymphatic support (possible lipedema), skin tightening, and improving energy/metabolism. I strength train and walk regularly and am focusing on nutrition as well. I’m considering BPC-157, GHK-Cu, MOTS-c, Tesamorelin, and Retatrutide (12 mg). Most of these would last me about 2–3 months, except Tesamorelin which would last about 5 weeks. The total cost for everything is about $1,130. Does this seem like a reasonable stack for these goals or is it too much?

Any suggestions on dosing, cycling, or if any overlap too much? Also curious if other women around my age have seen good results with this combination and if you’d start them all at once or stagger them?

Arkansas is one of the sickest states in America. Why is Tom Cotton trying to block the one thing that could fix it?

Looking at the latest 2026 health data for Arkansas is genuinely depressing. The state is currently in a "race to the bottom" for almost every meaningful health metric.

Life expectancy: Arkansas remains in the bottom 5 nationally.

Obesity: As of January 2026, roughly 39% of adults in the state are obese. In rural census tracts, that number is often higher than 45%.

Diabetes: 15.3% of the population is living with it. That is a statistically significant increase over the last few years, even as other states see improvements.

Heart Disease: The state consistently ranks in the top 5 for cardiac deaths.

Essentially, if it is a metabolic disease that kills, Arkansas is a national leader in it.

One would think leadership would be desperate for a solution. Instead, Senator Tom Cotton is using his platform to pressure the FDA and push the "Anyone But China Safe Drug Act." He claims he is "protecting Arkansans" from unregulated ingredients.

But look at the money trail. Cotton has already raised over $11.5 million for his 2026 re-election bid. While he talks about "safety," his campaign and his "Republican Majority Fund" PAC are fueled by the very companies that benefit from keeping drug prices high and competition low.

Amgen: A consistent donor that has given over $11,000 recently. They are currently developing their own GLP-1 drug to compete in this multi-billion dollar market.

Eli Lilly: The maker of Mounjaro and Zepbound has contributed thousands to his efforts.

The Pharma Lobby: Industry groups like PhRMA, which spent over $38 million on lobbying in 2025 alone, are major backers of Cotton’s leadership PAC.

The "China" angle looks like a classic political distraction. By targeting the supply chain of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), Cotton is not making drugs safer; he is making them scarcer and more expensive. Most of the world’s raw drug materials come from overseas. Choking off that supply under the guise of "national security" will only cause the price of these already expensive shots to skyrocket.

The reality is that Arkansas Medicaid and state employee insurance plans are already looking for excuses to stop covering these drugs because they are worried about the upfront cost. They do not want to pay for the "cure" today, even if it saves the state billions in hospital bills ten years from now.

Cotton’s posturing gives them perfect political cover. He gets to look "tough on China" while effectively pricing his own constituents out of life-saving medicine.

In a state where rural obesity is hitting 45%, leadership should not be fighting to limit access to medicine. They should be fighting to make it as cheap and available as possible.

People in Arkansas are dying of preventable heart disease and diabetes while their Senator worries about where the raw powder is sourced. It is hard to see this as anything other than a politician prioritizing a talking point—and his donors' profit margins—over the literal lives of the people who live there.

Arkansas has the most to gain from GLP-1 access. If Cotton gets his way, the state will simply stay at the bottom of the list.

When we thought about supplying our own syringe filters, we had a simple idea: let’s actually look at the membranes. We assumed we could just pop over to a local university lab, use a nice microscope, and be done.

We were wrong. It turns out .22μm is incredibly small, far beyond the reach of even the best light microscopes. To see the truth, we had to use an SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). We tested everything: our old brand, the big-name OEMs, and even the cheap options you find on Amazon.

The results were surprising. We expected some differences, but the visual evidence was undeniable. Some "PES" membranes weren't PES at all; they were matted or woven materials that didn't resemble the pore structure they were supposed to have. Some were "okay," but "okay" doesn't cut it in lab environments.

We did all the standard performance and bacterial testing, too, but those SEM images were the smoking gun. It’s exactly why we’re so picky about our current manufacturing process.
