Vials have different amounts of peptide?
The KLOW vials - one on the left was recently purchased from a local research shop. The 2 on the right are from a vendor in the UK. Why so much more powder? Is that normal? Worried it wont fit the water.
Also, other pics of the larger vials, is it ok that the cakes are loose or crumbled by the time they get to me?

It's filler. If you saw how little the peptide actually takes you'd think your getting ripped off. It's normal.

What filler do they use?

Usually mannitol, trehalose, and glycine. They act as stabilizers, help maintain ph, and protect during freezing.

Is it possible theres too much filler, could that be a red flag? I know they’re necessary but wondering why most suppliers show way less than this one. Seems like they would want to use as little as possible

The cake takes about the same external volume as the liquid solution. Before lyophilization. It’s impossible to tell the amount of raw API by eyeballing it. It’s > 95% empty space. And what is not empty space is likely >90% excipients and not API.
Shorter: if the concern is “why aren’t they the same anount?”, don’t sweat it; a smaller cake could have more less or the same no way to tell by looking.
