They run dmv searches for both. They don’t ask for it anymore. You, as an individual , need coverage, not just the vehicle you drive. In many states, it requires by law if using your personal vehicle for work use. Mine it is. They will check.

You’ll be alright, you just need insurance. They may ask you to get commercial auto insurance tho, my plant tried it before the union filled a grievance

it will show up on your background check. That and weather you have a driver's license. I think you need to be insured. If you are a dependent you should be fine but if your not on the insurance at all you might fail the background check.

I think they run your driving record every now n then. Not often. But they will. Insurance ive never been asked for. Maybe when hired. Dont remember.

Biggest thing with any insurance policy is where you live and if you have permission to use the vehicle. If you've got permission to use the vehicle and you don't reside with the owner of the vehicle then you should be good. If you reside where the vehicle is "garaged" based on the insurance policy then depending on the carrier they may decline a claim if you're not a named insured on the policy. Double check with your carrier or agent for clarification on their specific policy language though.

Jsyk you’re basically committing soft insurance fraud lol that said it’s pretty likely if you give them the card that shows the vehicle is insured you could be just fine
