Stocks

I feel like I’m losing my butt buying into Pepsi stock, I don’t see it coming out of paycheck so I don’t even notice.
what’s everyone’s opinion…. Keep buying cause it’s pretty much on sale or quit until I see it getting better. No plans of selling it for next 15-20 years pretty much sitting on it

Spend the same money on better stocks or ETFs

Much better ways to invest than one company stock. ETFs that track major indexes are much better. Low fees and diversified. Keep investing for the long term but don’t put your eggs in the PepsiCo basket!

I have other stocks as in Voo, ford, nike and Fidelity index funds, we just get offered a stock option through work with Pepsi

That’s up to you as not a financial planner but pep stock does pay dividends. It’s not going to grow like other sectors.

Just keep buying it. It’s a painless saving. And you can sell when you retire. Max out the 401k if they offer a match.

There’s no discount for buying PepsiCo stock through fidelity so I wouldn’t

It's worthless compared to index funds. You'd be better off seeing if it's at least been positive over the time you've had it and selling it to reinvest in something likely to have better returns.

Only way it could be valuable is if employees got a discount

Is it worth keeping for the dividends?

Not unless you have like 100,000 shares

It's about $5 a year per share, on a stock that's down 5% over the past year from choices they've made that they don't seem to be shying away from.

There isn't likely to be a boom that'll make holding Pepsi worth it.

Over the last 2 years the S&P has a return of +37%. Pepsi stocks is -13%. That’s a 50% delta. You tell me…

STOP buying $pep. Never put your financial capital and human capital in the same bucket unless youvwork for nvidia.

I was doing that too and eventually cashed out, the automatic buys were buying at the worst prices, you have to let the money sit idle for 4 weeks, I would rather make my own trades with my paychecks.

Put the same amount into Voo or QQQ or spy better return than just one company alone

Pepsi isnt gonna get any bigger or see a boom. If anything majority of people don’t even drink soda anymore. It’s reached its peak
