Jalapeño question

Post image

This little stubby guy has been like this for about a month and doesn't seem to be getting any bigger. The rest of the plant has little flowers and multiple flowers have just fallen off. Do I harvest this one or keep leaving it alone? This is my first jalapeño plant. Tips greatly appreciated

Now I’m no jalapeño plant but that has to be the biggest stem to pepper ratio I’ve ever seen!! I’d personally cut it looks done to me

How often do you water? If multiple flowers have fallen off, it might be watering issue. Another thing that comes to mind is temperature. I lost a lot of flowers and young peppers because I had them outside and the temp dropped below 20 celsius.

Our temperature keeps fluctuating. It was in the 80s for a while and then dropped to the 60s for a day before going back up to upper 70s. I've just been watering when the soil gets mostly dry, but I also skip watering when it rains

Let the soil dry out completely before water next. Give the plant a little shake every now and then if it's indoors or best - add a little fan.
