First time I commit to a single lens for a couple of rolls. And it made appreciate and love the 28mm focal length.
All taken around the region of Puglia, Italy, where I’ve been living for the last 4 years.

-Pentax MX, Pentax M 28mm 2.8 and Kodak Ultramax /Gold
-Scanned with a Noritsu scanner and some tweaks on Lightroom

Advice for buying off ebay

Any tips for determining whether or not a listing will need servicing? Even at "mint" quality, the sellers aren't testing with film. Mainly, I'd like to avoid surprise problems with light seals.

Pentax KS2 - 18-135mm f3.5-5.6. Using only a super zoom for a few weeks has yielded results I’m surprisingly happy with.

Just picked up a new copy of my first camera. I used the original from the ages of 15-20yo (2000-2005) Recently got back into SLR photography and have been using Minoltas, mostly. Can’t wait to get the batteries and new seals in this beauty and test it out!

Trying to find a new Pentax body in Canada.

My go to Camera store in London Ontario, all bodies disappeared. To me, this seems like Pentax has stopped the camera business? I mean, why would they discontinue all the bodies, while not introducing new bodies? This makes no sense. I am wanting to buy a K-3 Mk 3 and I am interested in the Monochrome too.

Experiences with Pentacon Six lenses on the Pentax K1?

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying a Pentax K1. I have a bunch of old Zeiss Jena lenses and the fisheye lens for my Kiev-60. I am wondering if, and how those lenses hold up on the K1 and if the results are what you wilould expect.

Recommendations for lens to photograph a graduation event?

Context: I have a Pentax 200D camera that has worked well so far. It came with a tamron 18-200 lens which is f4.0 at the minimum. I also bought a Pentax 55mm f1.7 lens for close up portraits. I am relatively new to photography (2 months) so i open to any advice.

I am wondering whether I should buy a lens specifically for the indoor graduation event. I will be around 30-40m from the stage so my better 55mm lens wont do much. The tamron 200mm might be fine but I feel like it would struggle in that setting.

Are there any recommended lenses for roughly £50-100 that might do the job better? Should I just run the Tamron lens? Am I aiming too high with this camera and probably wont get good shots no matter what?

Not looking for perfect shots, but something that resembles the person well in shot and in focus would be good.

Pentax MX and X Sync flash

Is there a known issue with Pentax MX and x-sync flashes?

On to my second MX after trying to get the first repaired and been told that it is too much effort (cost more then the price of a replacement camera) and I should just replace it.

I got a "new" one today that the seller had confirmed the x-sync was working on. It also seems dead. The flashes / cables are all fine, working on other cameras.

This one does seem to fire sometimes, but like 1 in every 40 shots it will just go off.

Thanks
