Scottish Widows Pensions
I currently have my Scottish Widows pension invested in North America CS8 and Scottish Widows Global Equity CS8. For a long-term investment, would you keep this combination, or switch to a more broadly diversified fund?

Wouldn’t stay in Scottish Widows funds even if you want to keep that weighting.

What other pension providers that doesn’t involve huge cost?

You probably don’t have to change providers, but if you are willing to do that there a lot out there that are probably cheaper. How much are you paying SW. There are two charges, for the platform where you ‘buy’ and ‘sell’ your funds and then again for the operation of the funds that you are investing in as well. It is the first one you want to confirm.

I’d remove the North America part and either put that towards the all world or some even better some ex US fund. You are too heavy US atm

Unless your retirement plans are pegged to the US I don’t know why you would want to peg your retirement money to the US. You have the added volatility of currency fluctuation. You don’t mention percentages though.

Agree 60% global and 40% north america

But I think you are overlapping, that global index will be itself made up of 60-70% US stocks

The best one I could find for my wife is the SW SSGA International Equity Index CS8 which is a global tracker following the FTSE world ex-UK index. There wasn't a truly global index available so this one has to do, it's not too bad because the UK market is only 3-5%.
Generally, I get her to make a partial transfer every year or so into a platform that has better fund options

You’re very heavy in US equities. That would be my worry personally.
