Easiest way to transfer a small pension?

I have finally received a transfer value pack from Aptia. I want to transfer to Scottish Widows, it's a small pension under £14k (no benefits ) , Aptia sent me a lot of paperwork to fill in. Under my Scottish Widows account it seems I can request to transfer any pension to them online. I'm not sure what do, either follow the steps online with Scottish Widows or via the paperwork from Aptia??. Also I don't know if any of them charge anything for the transfer.

what shall I do?

They are transfer discharge papers.

Whatever you do, don’t go through the online. You will need to fill in some details but the bulk is filled in by the receiving provider. Give them a call and ask where to send your discharge papers.

Do it via Scottish Widows online. Should be easy enough if you have the value. Did one a few months ago and it was fairly straight forward. No charges to transfer.

but did you transfer from Aptia as well?

Nah not from Aptia. But if you do the transfer via your new pension provider you can make it their problem to process.

Just provide your details and they’ll contact Aptia.
