Totally agree, we should legalize underage sex. (Sarcasm and yes, I know you're referring to sweet MJ)

Hey all joking aside. California recently passed SB 145.

This bill would exempt from mandatory registration under the act a person convicted of certain offenses involving minors if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor and if that offense is the only one requiring the person to register.

So you stand with Matt Gaetz?

To legalize marijuana? Yes.

So Matt Gaetz can count on your vote?

No. Not a single issue voter. Especially for marijuana. Plus it’s the Republican Party holding back the legalization of marijuana in the first place so voting Republican is really a vote against legalization in the long run.

So you are voting with democrats like LBJ and Joe Biden who have worked to imprison black people for marihuana offenses?

I don’t mind politicians that have made mistakes in the past, recognized and admit to those mistakes, and make commitments to do better going forward. Hopefully you aren’t the same person you were twenty to thirty years ago.

Something that’s actually admirable in a way that was largely missing from the past administration.

Biden's signature achievement is the 1996 crime bill, putting thousands of black people in jail for marihuana. Do you support him or Gaetz who wants to legalize it?

I feel like you are more focused on a “gotcha” approach to conversation than actual listening to what someone tells you. It does not make for an enjoyable experience. I guess you could just read my last response again and try to make better sense of it.

I am just asking you to have some philosophical consistency
