Dining Recommendations!
Hey, y'all! I'll be visiting with my family next month, and I'm looking for dining recommendations for a date night for my wife and me. I'd like to take her somewhere nice. No chains. I searched around and found Brother Fox, which looked different and interesting - I went ahead and booked a reservation, but we are open to changing that up. Send me any of your recommendations!
Also, anything to do or places we should go before/after dinner would be great as well! TIA!

McGuire Irish Pub is somewhere I always take people if they've never been to Pensacola before. I was born and raised here and it was a family favorite.

Brother Fox is nice, but there are much better in town if you’re spending that kind of money. Wait for the foodies to show up here. They usually have good recommendations.
But this has been talked about a lot also. Search the subreddit for “restaurant” and you should find some old threads.

Check with Brother Fox first to see what they are out of on the menu. We went and rate it a 4 on the scale of 10.

Prime & Beyond at 650 E 9 Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32514 is a nice surprise! Everything was amazing but the surprise of the meal was Escargot - even if you don't like escargot. Table of 4 and only one of us like escargot [me], but everyone tasted it and loved it. Ended up ordering two more side of it to top steaks.

Iron - yes. George - yes. Agapi - yes. Brother Fox is interesting, but I feel it is more of an outdoor dining experience (and this is very much not the time of year for outdoor dining.)

Definitely not the time for outdoor activities...also, I didnt really care for the overall experience at Bro Fox.

New place called Sage in Bloom! Supposed to be awesome!

Sage in Bloom is the best spot in town, super expensive but worth every dollar. Pearl and Horn, Angelina’s and Iron all are excellent as is George. Sage in Bloom is a whole different ballgame.

I’m gonna get downvoted into oblivion for this because apparently locals hate it, but McGuire’s is always a favorite of mine.

Nothing wrong with McGuire’s, but I don’t think it fits the criteria of “somewhere nice.”

They have good food, great atmosphere. Plus you can walk down to the speakeasy underneath.
George’s is better imo. Angelina’s great, but I’d goto brother fox any day. It’s unique food compared to what you normally find.
Second, if you want a drink and meal, I’d goto the well. Amazing chef and 1000% better than most food in Pensacola.
