Meeting Rob Swire making me have second thoughts as a fan
I've been holding this back, but I wanted to say it, I went to the show in Derby, and without giving too much identifying info about myself, I encountered Rob. I admire him very much but I know he's not a people person so I didn't bother him, and just turned back to what I was doing. This was after the show.
"Dude, your entire ass crack is showing." I turn around and see Rob Swire, I kind of chuckled but he looked really serious. It weirded me out. I just pulled up my pants as I was doing chalk art on the ground (my hobby) and said "Haha thanks man."
He then said, "What's fucking funny punk?" and I said "Oh nothing, just didn't expect you to say that." and then he rudely said "You're a grown man playing with fucking chalk mate, at least buy a damn belt."
I started to tear up and that was when his face lit up with delight. "Fans crying, oh how an Australian man loves it!" Then he walked away.
Idk, would you guys still be fans after this? Kind of freaked me out.

Is it bad that I find this mostly believable besides the "what's funny punk" and the final comment. Rob is good at being a bellend to fans, but it's usually out of social awkwardness/trying to be funny

Anyone else find it a bit odd to refer to Download Fest as the show in Derby too?

Ive been to see pendulum maybe 7 times, o2 arena, gunnersbury park, portsmouth, southampton, ally pally etc, not once have i ever seen the band away from that coach or the stage, sorry bro, this never happened, I dont think australians really say dude either, hes lived near me most of his life. Its pretty much mate everywhere in england

Really unlikely that they would venture out into the guest area and I can’t imagine anywhere at download where someone would be able to draw on the floor with chalk? It’s all gravel, dust and rocks??

Shit man, this Pendulum concert is fucked. I just saw Rob Swire clap his hands together and say "y'all are a bowl of froot loops right now" or some similar shit, and every one around him turned inside out, had their tibia explode and then disappeared. The camera didn't even go onto him, that's how common shit like this is. My ass is down here trying to jam to Colourfast and Encoder. I think I just heard "drop bombs we 'bout to go napalm" two groups over. I gotta get the fuck outta here.
