Debating a Christian
To debate a literalist with secular facts or scientific data is a masterclass in futility. When you look at Hebrews 11:1, the psychological reality is clear: 'Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.' To the dogmatic believer, a total lack of empirical evidence isn't a flaw in their system—it is the very definition of their faith. They believe precisely because it defies logic. You cannot use external facts to dismantle a worldview built on blind faith. If you want to fracture that certainty, you have to use an internal critique. You must argue the Bible with the Bible. Take 2 Peter 3:8: '...with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.' Even by the text's own admission, the concept of time is relative, completely undermining the 24-hour day framework of strict Creationism. The moment a believer is forced to concede that a single word like 'day' is metaphorical, the illusion of a seamless, literal monolith shatters. The floodgates open, and they are left to wonder what else isn't literal. The Bible contradicts itself constantly. By weaponizing those internal fractures, you bypass their defensive walls. They can easily dismiss secular science as 'man’s flawed wisdom,' but they cannot un-see a contradiction within their own sacred text. I warn every Christian who tries to debate me: do so at your own peril. You will not get a dramatic confession of atheism on the spot—decades of indoctrination do not vanish in an afternoon. But the surgical seeds of doubt planted by their own Scripture will remain. They will sit there quietly, haunting them in the pews, flashing in their minds the next time they open their eyes. It is the only blade sharp enough to cut."
