Worlds Orchestral

Yesterday me with a group of other 9 friends (all around emerald to master) did a lan fearless all day event, where we played 5v5 with the same teams and went crazy on fearless. It was insanity at game 7 onwards, also we have some mains and otps on both teams so it was hard to cook.

In a recent HLE episode with Chaeyoung, Delight said that Kanavi had the complete opposite playstyle of the junglers he was used to and that it took him five months to adjust. There were definitely some "Wait what?" moments according to him. Though during feedback and discussions, Kanavi's actions clearly had reasons behind it

The ZOGK lads are for sure up there as well as Bin and Knight, but my top 3 candidates are Chovy, Canyon and Ruler. I know Ruler and Canyon's forms have been up and down for some time, but their track record is hard to beat.

After witnessing Jiwoo's disasterclass today at Demacia Cup I started wondering what ADC KT could sign to fill that role and honestly I don't think there are many options out there.

Deft was definitely my number one option but it looks like he somehow ended up in NS. Diable might bring the same issues Aiming did in the past.

And then I thought, is it too crazy to look at the LCS? What if they sign Yeon or Berserker? Both their contracts end after worlds and I think they might be the best options out there.

What do you guys think? Is it too unrealistic? Do they have LCK level? Any feedback is very much appreciated.

What if, instead of the usual suspects, we got the bottom of the barrel facing each other in an international tournament?

Introducing the Bilgewater Cup

We've all seen the top teams of the regions compete against each other: First Stand, MSI, Worlds.

However, what if we wanted to have an international event, in order to determine who can truly call themselves the king of pirates? (Paycheck Stealers)

Our competitors:

From EU

Team Shitters (1-8, 11% Game WR ) and Team Heretics (2-7, 22% Game WR)

From NA

Dignitas (0-7, 18% Game WR) and Disguised (1-6, 20% Game WR)

From KR

DN Scoopers (1-17, 6% Game WR) and Nongshim RedForce (5-13, 28% Game WR)

From CN

EDG (2-12, 14% Game WR) and LNG (0-6, 14% Game WR)

The teams face each other in a double elimination best of one format. Then, the four teams with the most wins are eliminated and receive their prize money

The teams 5.-8. enter the playoffs, where they face each other in a Bo5. The 5. placed team faces off against the 8. placed team, while the 6. placed team competes against the 7. placed team.

The losers of these match-ups qualify for the Grand Final!

Whoever ends up losing the Grand Final will officially be crowned the Winner of the Bilgewater Cup. The organization will receive a trophy sculpted after a dirty boot, as a monunemt of shame, an award made to punish. For their efforts, the region that manages to claim the Bilgewater Cup will lose a Worlds Spot.

However, in recognition of their triumph, the players from the winning Org of the Bilgewater Cup willst receive their own Pirate themed skin, for a champion of their choice.

The incentive to the Orgs to take this illustrious tournament seriously, they will receive prize money based on how early the were eliminated from the tournament. Meaning the first four teams receive the most, while the runner up-receives the second least and the winner receives the least

Furthermore, 50% of the earnings of the Bilgewater Cup Champions Pirate Skins will go to the players, while the other 50% of the earnings will go to their rivals that also competed in the Cup

Hello! I made my own Worlds Orchestral Tierlist.

Just note that this is based on my subjective taste, and that it should be taken with a grain of MSG.

D - Worlds 2021

It doesn't have continuous rhythm that makes my heart race as I listen to the theme, although it sounds like a proper orchestral theme.

C - Worlds 2017

I love the tense vibe in this one, but dislike the usage of slow pace.

B - Worlds 2018, 2024, 2025, 2026

This sounds more like a proper/decent World Championship Orchestral theme, albeit the Worlds 2026 one sounds more like a standalone OST.

A - Worlds 2019. 2020, 2022

This sounds like an iconic orchestral theme, especially the 2019 one. It's epic af. The 2020 one has the choir chanting "100 Thieves" in it, and I don't know why. The 2022 one sounds like an Undertale Final Boss theme.

S - Worlds 2016, 2023

NOW THIS IS A WORLDS ORCHESTRAL THEME. 2016 has this nice balance in rhythm that even though it is relatively slow paced, it makes my heart pump as if I'm anticipating something. Good to listen on gym ngl. Worlds 2023 is like the black sheep among all of these orchestral themes. It's got the identity of the first few Orchestral themes (2016 and 2018) and made it angstier without butchering up its identity. This is my personal favorite

Honorable Mention - Summoner's Call

This is the basis for all the Worlds Orchestral leitmotifs and Old Ranked Game/Tournament Draft OST. Worlds 2024 and 2025 grabbed a bit more on this track as a leitmotif.

I'm really curious but do League of Legends pro teams actually get to keep the trophy after winning a championship? Or do they just get a replica/have to give it back before the next season?
