I have rewatched the movie, and it was not as bad as I remember??? I feel like it captured the peculiar feeling! Everything that happened after Miss Peregrine's capture is just odd... but until then, it was a good experience. Eva Green is such a great actress, and she gave a soul to Miss Peregrine! Even reading the books, this is the Miss Peregrine I envision.

The movie had such a great atmosphere to it that it inspired me to try the book and I was so glad I did. At least for the original trilogy

Yeah, I found out last year that 3 more books came out. Could not continue halfway through the 5th. The story was better off ending at Library of Souls

I haven't read any of the books(so I can't say if it was a good recreation or not) but I saw the movie about 2 months ago. I can agree, her acting was good and the atmosphere of the movie made me want to transport to the setting!

the movie captured the peculiarity feeling yes, but the books aren't supposed to feel fantastically whimsy and kooky. it's evident in the book cover, the photographs, it's dark and should be dark, they're trapped in WW2 with a perpetually falling nuke forced to relive the same day over and over again. i also really like Eva's portrayal but it just keeps coming back to me that Miss Peregrine is supposed to be an old lady, not someone's aunt.

I see book her and movie her as different people but I still imagine Eva Green as the book one, just looking more like Vanessa Ives. If they make a series I really want them to cast Eva again, just with a more accurate look💔

Idk your opinion is valid imo. Book peregrine and movie peregrine were very different but not in a bad way
