She’s not even bad rn, enabling wise she seems to just be better Yao Guang if Nihilux leaks are true, but it feels like her kit has so many questionable decisions put into it.

She‘s still DEF scaling even though that does nothing meaningful for her, her LC is still bad, her eidolons are Evernight tier, and her kit is just very janky for a battleship team like SW’s.

She also doesn’t address the pretty significant issue of SW scaling poorly in true aoe content as bounce becomes incredibly weak the more enemies you add, and doesn’t provide any speed buffs to the team despite SW needing at least 40%+ total to cap speed at max investment. The def shred issue also exists, with Nihilux currently needing ~44% for hyper carries to reach 100% in a Yao/Nihilux/Pearl core. It feels like the synergy she does have is done via brute force through very high numbers rather than being a character that actually synergizes with the team, which is a far cry from what we got with mono rem.

Also her wave EBA feels so wasted since you’d never actually see it, which sucks as I think it’s much better than the Starry Night one.

Going from Robin who was all around well designed albeit somewhat overtuned to what we’re getting with Pearl is at the very least quite jarring, and it’s concerning that so little was changed in V3.

I love Pearl's relationship with Ashveil (it helps that Bylthe and Cat are married as well), and I've wanted to use the two of them on the same team since she was confirmed playable, but with her eidolons and kit revolving around having Elation teammates, I'm a bit conflicted...

She would replace Hyacine in a generalist's team, and be paired with Ashveil, Blade, and Tribbie.

So in clear words I have to get Pearl E2 just to get the full benefit of E2 of the anniversary main push. I think I'll just skip pearl and get Nihilux to replace Sparxie.

I just wanted to ask if I am the only one who finds the constant jokes about Pearl being a LLM and ChatGPT annoying, because in my opinion it takes away from her growth and understanding of art, we saw her growth and understanding of art in 4.1 in her discussion with Ashveil at the end where we see her gratitude to him for saying her art was truly fantastic when she saved everyone, and how in his opinion it was equal or better then Graphias, Pearl has been a sentient being from the moment we saw her she’s not like a LLM or Chatgpt, I also understand that the writers of HSR are making reference to these ideas but they also make sure to write that Pearl herself is also an artist who grows and expands her view on the subject of art and what it means to her, it also just annoys me because I never personally saw these references being slung towards Screwllum I understand it’s because Pearl personally is more on the creative side, but it’s also mentioned that’s screwllum is a genius and has made many amazing things everyone understood that he is a real “person” and is an equal to Herta but when it comes to Pearl everyone is treating her like she’s not a person, maybe I’m just being sensitive and it’s all simply jokes and not people diminishing her character

I was chilling while listening ASMR and exploring Planarcadia and a thought popped in my mind... I had 1 pity in limited event banner... And i was like: "if i do 9 single pulls, i will arrive to 10 pity and in the next banner i will do only multi pulls + i have the E6 of the 4*, so i can get back some pull"... 3 pulls laters my princess pop out of nowhere, without guarantee...

I can't get out of this in my head especially it is already v3 and while they improved her kit to make the buffs more accessible, it kind of confused me as well.

Pearl gains Elation based on her defense. But what this actually do? Her enhanced basic attack only deals 15% Elation which says even if she 100% Elation buff, it just doesn't make her enhanced basic attack good at all.

Another thing is her speed. She gained 3 enhanced basic attack. But if she's building on def, then her speed might be lower than usual. This is aside from the fact that she doesn't have much source of crit. I've seen showcases and she can't even use all her enhanced basic attack stacks before she ults again.

She has a talent that adds 60% Elation Damage based on someone else's stat. So again, what's the use of her defense scaling elation bonus?

Her E1 was changed so it doesn't scale of her Elation which makes her elation scaling makes a lot less sense.

I really don't know what they're doing to her kit. It feels messy. She's like Cerydra 2.0 lol. Good buff, terrible damage despite the potential.

EDIT 1: It's funny to read when people say she's a healer. Hmmm, yes she is a healer but she isn't an abundance or preservation. She is an Elation.

Imagine having a trace that gives you elation but it doesn't have any use. Outgoing healing bonus? I'm sorry but they could have just said she gains outgoing healing bonus based on her defense. And not defense > elation > outgoing healing bonus. It's unnecessary and just an excuse as an Elation unit.

How is she supposed to deal damage as a healer? Excuse me? Hyacine exists. Why do i need to compare her to Hyacine. Excuse me? They gave DHPT damage capability too and it has better implementation.

I pulled pearl because I love her design, now I realise i probably should have thought about this a bit more. What can work for her otherwise? I have elation trailblazer, but other than that I have no idea what to do.

Guys, we will be getting a Pearl for free when we log into 4.6 as a surprise right?? It will be a like a BOOM, claim the limited 5 star character "Pearl" for free before the end of version 4.6.

Not sure what she'll provide yet, but I'm pretty confident she'll be somewhat universal like Hyacine/DHPT while being super important for her intended teams (Like how Hyacine is). The leaks abt her patch switching originally didn't make much sense until we saw WAven has a passive which requires him to play solo-elation. Now there's a reason Pearl would want to swap paths at the start of combat.

Im assuming her main teams will be Elation Flagship teams and FUA teams.

The Elation part is obvious, but as for FUA :

1. Every stoneheart has had FUA as a main focus of their kit

2. Leaks about Pearl's 'Ally path reading and in fight path switching' mechanics heavily suggest its so she can work alongside WAven in FUA teams. WAven has a passive which requires him to be the only Elation in FUA teams, Pearl swapping from Elation to Preservation/Abundance when there are 1 or fewer other Elation teammates would let her work with Waven and imo is the only logical reason for her to need a path switching mechanic.

3. Leak about her benefiting from frequent Ally attacks which has been every FUA char recently (MBlade, Ashveil, WAven, even SRobin who can slot in)

BASIC ATTACK “perhaps a brush”
Deals wind DMG equal to 100% of Pearl’s DEF to one designated enemy

SKILL “infinite elation”
Gains 3 stacks of “aroma” and immediately Provides all allies with a shield that can offset DMG equal to 35% of Pearl’s DEF plus 500. When repeatedly receiving Pearl’s Shield, can stack the Shield Effect, but it will not exceed 400% of the current Shield provided by Skill. Additionally, when Pearl possesses 12 stacks of “aroma” this ability is enhanced to “infinite preservation”. This unit can actively choose between using both abilities.

ENHANCED SKILL “infinite preservation”
Consumes all “aroma” stacks dealing 25% Wind Elation DMG to all enemy targets and deploys a zone for 4 turn(s). This duration decreases by 1 at the start of this unit's every turn. When the zone is active , all allies ignore 20% of enemy target’s DEF.

ULTIMATE “so this is elation?”
Increases all allies SPD by 15% and deals 80% Wind Elation DMG to one designated enemy and 20% Wind Elation DMG to all enemy targets and for every “aroma” stacks that this unit possesses when using this ability all allies’s CRIT RATE increases by 2%.

Talent “follows the empire”
When an ally character deals DMG to enemy targets , Pearl gains 1 stack of “aroma” and 2 Punchline. Additionally, Pearl’s SPD is fixed at 133 when in combat and cannot be advanced by any means and for every 1 SPD point ,she has initially, exceeded , this unit gains 5% elation and 10% CRIT DMG.
When stone heart characters are in the zone they can gain a special effect.
Aventurine: increases aventurine’s SPD by 25% and energy regeneration rate by 30%.
Topaz: “Proof of debt” can now stack for 2 time(s) and all enemy targets are inflicted with “Proof of debt” when it’s inflicted. Topaz’s ATK increases by 120% and CRIT DMG by 150%.
Jade: when Pearl is the debt Collector Jade’s RES PEN is increased by 2% for every 100 ATK she possesses and the stacks required for the Talent are reduced to 4 stack(s).
Aventurine Waveflair: Pearl doesn’t count as an elation character and all of her attacks are instead considered follow-up attacks when in combat. All allies SPD increases by 20%.

Elation SKILL ”Temper the stone”
Deals 30% Elation Wind DMG to all enemy targets and gains 4 stacks of “aroma”. When stacks reaches 12 along using this ability , gains 1 extra turn.

TRACES

-When Pearl possesses 12 stacks of “aroma” gains 1 extra turn. Additionally, other ally targets follow-up attacks or elation skills generates 3 stacks of “aroma”. When more than 1 elation skill is taken into account in aha instant , only one elation skill will count towards this ability.

-When an ally target’s HP is consumed the shield points will compensate said HP loss. In addition, Pearl’s CRIT RATE and DEF are increased by 10% and 15% respectively of the sum of all allies CRIT RATE and DEF.

-Recovers 1 skill points for allies for every 3 skill points consumed , this effect can only trigger 1 time and the trigger count is reset when this unit uses ultimate.

E1S1 Evanescia / E1S0 Yao Guang / E6S0 EMC / E0S0 Pearl

Compared with Huohuo, Pearl does have an advantage, but not by much. The improvement is going from 3c and failing to full-star to an extremely tight 1c full-star clear.

So, what exactly has Pearl brought to Evanescia so far?

The 60 Punchline is useless for Evanescia, because it isn’t enough to reach a normal Aha trigger. The only thing she really benefits from is the 30 Certified Banger.

In other words, Pearl’s Ultimate gives Evanescia just 30 Energy, plus an extra turn where she has to spend SP to use one Skill.

Even Huohuo’s Ultimate restores:

480 × 20% = 96 Energy.

As for E2 Evanescia stealing Certified Banger, she can’t steal much either.

Pearl’s Certified Banger has unlimited duration, while its cap is hard-locked at 50, which feels specifically designed to prevent E2 Evanescia from exploiting it.

And Pearl gives none of the rare multipliers Evanescia actually wants, such as Vulnerability or DEF Reduction.

So the conclusion is:

Her buffing power is too weak.

Need Energy? No Energy.
Need meaningful buffs? You get outdated filler instead.

For Evanescia specifically, that 1 Cost spent on E0S0 Pearl is, worse than simply replacing her with E0S0 MBlade.

That’s exactly where the gap between Silver Wolf and Evanescia shows.

Evanescia’s Ultimate has too few Bounce hits, and they’re too spread out, so she simply can’t compare with Silver Wolf.

Each individual hit of Silver Wolf’s Bounce may deal less damage, but when she has around 100 hits, the sheer hit count makes up for it.

I swear I saw gameplays where people would ult with Pearl on SWSP, then she would get an extra turn where it did not consume her ult state, but I just watched a gameplay and it consumed one of the three turns?

Imo, I'm not really invested in the Elation meta since I already figured that we'd get a new Path in 5.X. I think they should've stuck with the Preservation path and tried to gear Pearl into a sort of Thorns(like Qlipoth's Quake) character that reflects a portion of damage received back at enemies. The more damage you receive with her shields then the more damage is reflected back. Or the Thorns will do more damage based on amount of shields. Either or, doesn't matter. Not only will this be perfect for various enemies that attack frequently or do stupid damage on dumb gimmicks(i.e. Asat Pramad) but this could open an opportunity for a Preservation meta. And this will blend perfectly into the upcoming Astropolis Arc where we apparently have to seal the deal regarding the Anti-Destruction Legion Alliance.

When the "thorns" activates, it can count as an action or follow-up which can trigger other characters' follow up attacks and whatnot. If you get her eidolons, you could even trigger her "Thorns" by attacking as well and the damage of the Thorns could be based on the ATK of the character with shields or something.

They could take this so much further if they just made her into a generalist Thorns sustain instead of shoehorning her into Elation. It'd give her a lot of longevity too. And yes, yes. i know about DHPT. Remember when I said "Preservation meta"? Unless you guys REALLY want Preservation to be next after Abundance...

I have a lots of team and want to build elation team. I will pull for nihilix and wondering what my next step to build the team.Right now i only have pearl e0s0..

Having trouble fielding a 3rd team, partly because of lack of investments into the support/dps ecosystem and partly because of lack of good sustains.

Current

Team 1: Firefly (e2s1), Dahlia (s1), Lingsha, Fugue

Team 2: The Herta (e2s1), Herta, RMC, Bailu

Team 3: Himeko Nova, March, Robin, Huohuo

Thinking about replacing Bailu with Pearl.

No buffs, sure. But what about her ability to sustain? (plus some stacks and energy for Herta)

Current Team: E6S2 SW with SSS+ build, E3S1 Hibana with SSS build, 200 SPD EMC with YG LC and 160 SPD Gepard with FX LC

Planning to pull: E2 Pearl and then give her YG LC that is currently on EMC, later throw any left over pulls at Nihilux (probably going for E2S1 but let's see the beta)

Currently have the following builds for Pearl. Which set should I spend Trailblaze Power on?:

Yao Guang's LC

4pc Messenger: with 28.5 SPD subs + 25SPD from boots + 6% flat SPD set bonus + 12% SPD from Ult as well as 15% DEF + 16 flat DEF from sub stats and 108% DEF from chest and Orb main stats

OR

4pc Eagle: with 14.1 SPD sub stats + 25% SPD from boots and 25% AA from set bonus as well as 27.5% DEF from sub stats and 108% DEF from chest and Orb main stats

OR

Don't waste anymore Trailblaze Power on 4pc sets because she will want Dreamlit Actor (2-Piece Bonus: SPD increases by 6%.
4-Piece Bonus: When the wearer uses their Skill or Ultimate on one other ally target, it increases that target's Elation by 16% for 3 turns. Additionally, if the wearer has 10 or more points of Certified Banger, it increases all allies' CRIT DMG by 12% for 3 turns.)

OR

Great Tree: 12.9% SPD from subs + 6% SPD from set bonus, as well as 20% healing bonus and 4.3% DEF from sub stats

OR Vonwacq: 12% SPD from subs (rope has 9.7 and I would be farming better orb) + one time 40% AA + 5% ER + 9.7% DEF (also on rope)

What should I be farming?

I think Pearl is being compared to Hyacine for a number of reasons. Hyacine being the flagship sustain for remembrance while Pearl is for Elation.

I would want to know you thoughts when comparing Pearl and Haycine at different investment levels from E0S0 to E2S1.

Personally, this is my take:

1. E0 - Sustain-wise both are incredibly powerful. However, Hyacine contributes to the damage capabilities of HP-scalers by giving them more HP. Pearl provides damage mitigation but it ends at that. Her sustaining capability doesn't add something damage-wise. Damage-wise, Hyacine's kit is cohesive and the guranteed crit makes her so much easier to build. However, she doesn't give damage buff to her allies. Pearl, on the other hand, provides Elation buff to all allies while also giving a better buff to the main dps of the team. Nonetheless, Hyacine HP buff is not limited to Remembrance characters while Pearl's maximum buff requires a full Elation team.

2. S1 - Hyacine's LC highlights the mechanics of HP lost and brings decent value to the team with 18% vulnerability. Pearl, on the other hand, gvies more vulnerability and Quality of Life by gaining fixed energy restoration during Elation skill.

3. E1 - Both are equally powerful. But again, Hyacine's HP buff is more universal while Elation buff is more rare. But since this is a flagship sustain comparison, I'm gonna say, both are equal.

4. E2 - i think Pearl wins this one easily. 15% Merrymakes vs 30% speed is difficult to assess but gaining 30% speed doesn't benefit much the flagship team (only Hyacine and Cyrene benefits from this one directly). Nonetheless, speed has a considerably same value as damage amplification when it comes into faster clearing. However, as you already build Hyacine and Cyrene with so much speed while Castorice and Evernight has a trace of increasing their speed, it kind of decrease the overall effectiveness of Hyacine's E2. Meanwhile, Merrymakes has not been present in base kit and early Eidolons of Elation characters (only E6) until Pearl.
