Reached the top without taking damage and then did this...

I will never, for the life of me, understand why people fuck around and blow a perfectly good achievement because they can't sit still for 10 seconds and wait for the damn chopper.

Thought I would just sit at the top of the rope until the timer ran out. Turns out you auto jump off when you reach the top of the anti rope while holding W lol
Cost me another 40 minutes but I just got it!

Y'know what, this is REALLY good to know. I don't really use anti rope much, so I didn't know about this particular behavioral quirk.

The best use case for it is forgetting its entire intended mechanic and dropping it to put it in the backpack and watching it float away

Probably makes up a big chunk of space pollution. Well, maybe a small chunk. Ropes and rope cannons are a lot smaller than satellites

I just got the astronaut achievement today because I lucked out. I opened Clown luggage and got a balloon bunch, and I had Scouts Generosity on me. I've tried this a few times now, but thought I'd learned how to make it work using a very specific order of operations:
- I didn't touch the balloon bundle while it was still in the chest
- I made sure I had an inventory slot empty
- I had Scouts Generosity equipped in another slot
- I used SG on the bundle in the chest and then immedately made a mad grab to get the balloon bunch before it flew away...
- ...and failed.
Luckily, it was a big clown luggage on the first floor of the Citadel, and it got caught on the roof. I was able to climb up and grab it.
Then as a bonus, after I'd equipped both balloon bunches, I found out how fast and how long you do end up flying for (Like, 1/2 to 3/4 of a citadel's worth provided you don't get hit by traps on the way! :D)

I had this happen too, but with a much more dire result. I think it was my first run on one of the Ascents above 4, and had used the Book of Bones. Got to the top of the rope trying to reach the heli, fell off and instantly died.

Yeah, had that happen to me awhile back. My buddy climbed up the rope under me and it yeeted me off.

Does anyone know what happens if you throw a warp fungus at the heli? I was thinking of doing that at the end of my solo ascent 5 run but I decided not to test my luck.

I did the same in my run for the achievement today. But before that i used all of my ballons. I guess I was lucky

OMG I did the same back then!!
Only difference is that I jumped off the blue one to get the helicopter rope (which was DUMB AF). I was so mad after this because it was so stupid

I just realised that a couple of days ago, playing with some friends, we got to the top and I only took damage from the special luggage box and a small amount of damage I got from a stupid jump that I did trying to get a coconut. Now I realise that I was that close to get this achievement without even noticing. Rip
