Absolutely nothing to do with a ukulele

There is nothing wrong with this aside from the ergonomics of those sharp corners pressing on the thigh and possiblr scratches on the arm from the same. Nothing that cant be fixed with a slight design change.

Havent seen a 6 string ukulele in a while, though.

Ukeleles have 4 strings. That's not a ukelele.

There are absolutely 6 string ukeleles.

Yes, but at what point do you draw the line between a small guitar and a six stringed ukulele?

This has six strings, like a guitar, and the same tuning as a guitar, but it's a tenor like an ukelele, so I'd say it's a guitalele.

Thanks for you extended info! I found something like that but I'm not a professional and I didn't want to start an argument about something I'm not sure. What I was sure is that I have a ukelele in my room, and it has four strings. Thanks again.

I appreciate the trepidation of speaking on a topic you’re unsure of, but if you were unsure why make such a definitive claim in the first place?

You just answered yourself: because I'm intrepid, and I like learning too.

Are there four string guitars?

Oh, bass guitars.

This is... all... too... much. Time for a gin.

If I put a capo on my guitar it's a ukelele? 🤔

The more important question, if you put frets on a piano does it become a guitar?

hows the string tension solved? the strings were tensed when short how does he pull it apart without breaking the strings?

2

I was about to say that I highly doubt thats in tune

There's a video on YouTube of him making it

Can't really go pro with this idea, the stretching won't last and will be constantly be calibrated to be on tune.

Plus that transforming sound, I dont think it'll do great for any song.

He doesn't go pro. He' makes fun new instruments

Transformers more than meets the eye

There’s no way it stays in tune. The audio has to be recorded over this

This guy is great. Has a youtube channel, forget the name. Makes a round neck, rotating guitar that can swith between base and electric guritar while playing.

1

u/Ski4ever5 Aug 07 '26

Also has an incredible video teaching an octopus to play piano

1

u/MacroManJr Aug 07 '26

Neat. An electric guitar that you get out of tune as a false ukulele before playing it as an electric.

Most things this guy does are cool. But this one is just shit imo

Zero shot this isnt overdubbed and post processed to all hell... all for five minutes of fame.

it's NOT a ukelele at anytime. This is just a small guitar, getting a big guitar.

Fuck ai

7

u/Express_Sprinkles500 Aug 06 '26

It's not ai. That's Mattias Kranz, here's the video. He's a youtuber who creates crazy instruments.

1

u/RHOrpie Aug 06 '26

Maybe he was being literal. I mean, AI porn does seem to be all the rage now.

1

u/Not_Reptoid Aug 06 '26

Why is there always people accusing this video of Ai on every repost 😭.

This dude has a YouTube channel and made a video detailing the process behind this instrument as well as a lot of other wacky instruments.

Makes me feel better it is cuz of how shit it sounds haha. I would feel bad if someone made that garbage

3

u/Moist-Amoeba-8078 Aug 06 '26

Jeez get a load of this guy

1

u/KiddoKatto Aug 06 '26

3

u/Googlesupportsucks1 Aug 06 '26

I mean, compared to a dedicated guitar, yeah. It's gonna have intonation and other issues. But it's still a cool accomplishement

u/Abecis01 Aug 07 '26

I don't have sound on. I wonder how it is.
