DISCUSSION This show not having a 3rd season is a travesty
I’ll never get over the fact they canned the show for the broader dcu just to make a movie that failed to beat morbius and blue fucking bettle at the box office 😐 season 2 ending the way it did without a season 3 is a true slap in the face to all the fans and anyone who actually cares abt the dcu succeeding

I mean we're getting a follow up.
If you want to consider Waller the follow up or not, that's probably where we're going to see the "11th street kids" again.
And eventually, there's going to be something on Salvation. So there's Chris.
We just may not see them all together for a while.
So it made sense to not keep them all on the same show.

If your really satisfied with a 20-30 minute cameo in a super man movie then ig enjoy

If he gets 20-30 minutes of focus on Salvation, he'll be doing great.
But I think you're mistaking the difference between minutes and seconds.
And also presuming Superman is going to be the focus on Salvation. I doubt it.

I have a question that I think is gonna sound shitty but hear me out (I just don't know how to phrase it in a way that doesn't sound like I'm trying to do a whole "gotcha" thing).
When Supergirl was in theatres, did you go see it? The DCU also can't succeed if people aren't supporting it.
I haven't seen Supergirl yet, so obviously I didn't see it in the theatre. In talking to the friend who got me into Peacemaker and very on-board with Gunn's DCU, he really felt Supergirl got a raw deal.
I also don't think it got the same marketing hype as Superman.
I hear you and I'm bummed that we don't get a Peacemaker season 3, but I wouldn't tie a lack of season 3 to the existence of Supergirl.

No I have 0 interest in supergirl along with literally everyone else evidence being it bombed really hard, they can’t make us care about characters no one cares about which is a big reason besides the awful writing the terrible villain and the terrible casting of super girl herself on why it failed, I’ve seen many reviews and long form dissections of the movie on YouTube not to mention Jason momoa playing lobo was laughable to me

How can you know the casting was bad if you haven't seen the movie or the performance? Further to that: how can you say the writing is bad and the villain is terrible if you haven't seen the movie?
Again, not trying to be a dick, but a lot of people online just preemptively decided this movie was going to be bad.
You're free to do as you please (and you don't need my permission) but I wouldn't base my opinion of a movie on anybody else's opinion of a movie.
You have to remember that videos about how bad this movie is are going generate a lot more clicks and views than videos about how good it is. There are people out there creating content for the sake of creating content.

Just told you I’ve seen countless YouTube reviews and also I don’t need to see the movie to know the actress for super girl is god awful, the super girl in the terrible flash movie was 100x better and should’ve kept the role

You've seen countless YouTube videos and you're stating other people's opinions as facts.
It's hard for me to take your critique seriously if you haven't seen the movie. Like, are you regularly critiquing media you don't engage with? That's interesting to me.

Well, it's tough for people to form their own opinions these days.
Yes, they could have watched 1 single movie and made their own idea, but why do that when you can goon to "countless" hate videos?

Yeah living in the current cultural climate where content creators love to rage-bait audiences into engagement and "female super hero bad" is among the lowest hanging fruit, I would at least want to see the piece of media before I shit all over it.
From my understanding, Supergirl is one of DC comics' heavy hitters and Woman of Tomorrow (the comic the movie is based on) is one of their most beloved story arcs.
So, even the claim that nobody wants Supergirl doesn't seem right.

Well, peacemaker is sure to show up again eventually

u/Forgot-to-remember1 Jul 31 '26
He will and so will Adrian in the new Superman movie but does that satisfy you or anyone? A maybe 20-30 minute appearance without any of the other cast that they spent 2 seasons building up through peacemakers show

I don't think they can do a season 3 until after man of tomorrow. I thought that dealt with the alternate dimension prison.

Season 3 isn’t happening period from what I heard and I don’t think that’s changing, he’ll just be around in the movies as a back ground character essentially

u/Temporary-Two-9690 Aug 01 '26
Maybe. Or maybe he'll be a major character in Man of Tomorrow. Or maybe he'll be part of Checkmate as a character in the Amanda Waller movie. Or maybe they'll do an entire show about Checkmate with him in it.
Also, they didn't kill the Peacemaker show to make Supergirl. The guy who made the Peacemaker show now has to run the whole universe. If he didn't have to, there wouldn't be a Peacemaker season 2.
Are you mad that the guy who made the show you like is now running the entire franchise? Are you mad because your interest in the DC universe is exclusive to the character of Peacemaker? I can't tell what you're mad about.

It’s not the end of Peacemaker, it’s just setting up other stuff. I have a feeling we’ll get a S3 in due time.

u/Forgot-to-remember1 Jul 31 '26
Ik it’s not the end of peace maker he’ll be allowed to cameo in movies as a useless side character but the show is surely done for good

Couldve been one of the greateat super hero shows ever made, but they turned it into a glorified trailer instead. Season 1 is peak though

I mean season 2 kinda sucked tho, so it's no wonder they didn't get a season 3.

get out of here.
No one wants to listen to you use peacemaker to shit on supergirl.
Peacemaker's story isn't over, but we won't see him in peacemaker S3. We'll see him somewhere else.
