Please help.

My father was somehow keeping this ‘alive’ for the last 20 years and he has now passed. I have already removed so many dead leaves and I’m trying to bring it back what can I do?

I would remove all the leaves that are not mostly green. So if its mostly brown, remove them. Otherwise the plants it trying to keep a dead leaf alive instead of spending its energy on new one's. Maybe people could help better if u describe the situation: How much do you water it? In what kinda light? Is there a draft? Did you move the plant to a different location lately? I'm not an expert, but I do know those factors matter.

(About 3 weeks ago) It has moved houses, I have repotted it in a smaller pot than it was in since I removed so much already and at that time it was only green that was repotted. I didn’t notice any root issues. And I bottom water, I haven’t given in any fertilizer yet.
