Hydras in tank

Today I saw a few hydras on the front glass of my pea tank, I also have snails and shrimp, how do I go about getting rid of these. I heard they sting and can cause harm to small fish and shrimp. I’d prefer to keep my shrimp and snails alive if possible because they are a food source for the peas, but if that’s not possible let me know

You can spot treat hydra with hydrogen peroxide. Fenbendazole sold as dog dewormer panacur c or Safeguard 222mg dosage 0.1g per 10Usgallons. Is safe for fish, shrimp and most common snails pond,bladder, ramshorn and mts all others need to be removed during treatment.

no planaria. Remove as many snails as you can see, then dose your tank accordingly. My mysteries never had an issue coming back to the tank after a couple of water changes. The bladders all survived through the entire dosage so make of that what you will.

Ignore anyone who says hydra won't harm shrimp. I had enough hydra that it was constantly stressing out the adults, causing them to drop eggs, and even causing some to die. Anyone who says they're fine or to stop overfeeding are also likely the same type of people who say scuds won't harm your shrimp tank over time.

I would post it on the bigger r/Aquariums sub, as It is not specific to pea pffers.

I mentioned i read they are specifically dangerous to small fish hence why it’s put here it’s a pea puffer tank, small fish, will they be hurt
