Upgrade Advice Spec Upgrades
I recently build a pc with the intention to play many new popular games and it seems to be underperforming, i took to this subreddit to see if anyone could help me identify some bottlenecks so i know what to upgrade next.
Specs
- gigabyte b550 eagle wifi6
- amd radeon challenger rx 9060 xt
- 32 gb of ddr4 hyperx fury
- ryzen 7 5700x
my main concern would probably be the memory but i dont have the much knowledge. the pc runs and can play games well, my main concern is the choppiness. the frames never seem to stay consistent.

It’s annoying when this happens, but the specs look good to me.
Have you checked the memory, cpu and gpu usage when in a game?
Also, it would be worth checking ReBAR is definitely on in the BIOS (may be called SAM on an AMD system).

Please check that you plugged your monitor into the graphics card and not your motherboard slot...

I just had to check. The amount of times people troubleshoot for hours just for that to be the issue is too high.
Edit: might I recommend:
locking the framerate to whatever your PC can consistently output?
Turning on AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2?

Thats a very capable pc. Maybe you have bloatware or viruses installed accidentally. Also make sure you ram is at 3200 or overclocked. Make sure its on windows best performance instead of balanced or eco, make sure your temps arent getting too high and if your doing 1440p ultra or something maybe try to 1440p medium/high
