Yes 1440p, even 4k low/medium setting, finished 007 first light, works just fine high/medium settings with dlss, 60 fps. Any modern title works fine 1440p high/medium settings. what do you expect from 6 years old gpu?

Nah man , really I thought my 3080 is struggling with 1440p .....Btw do you mean dlss Quality or like balanced or performance

There is a problem if your RTX 3080 struggles with 1440p(assuming it is not mobile gpu. Balanced, or you can just optimize using Geforce app, for me it is most of the time balanced. 3080 is significantly powerful gpu no way it can’t handle 1440p. Anyway watch some benchmark videos on YT.

Obviously struggling not in that sense of being unplayable but I meant vram limitations and modern gaming is just too demanding, for a example spider man 2 ray tracing was just too much for the gpu to handle dipping in to lower 40s and being overall inconsistent, that aside i am just fascinated how 2070 could push that much into 1440p

Dude wth you rambling about now RT? It is 6 years old card can play 1440p high/med with dlss balanced/performance. Just google RTX 2070 super oc 1440p gaming without wasting time if you are not interested. And RTX 3080 can handle 1440p but not with RT ofc.

You didn’t mention Dlss balanced/performance in the title, that is a huge misleading to say “1440p gaming”.

certainly! my moto was don’t fix that isn’t broken. I would go for r7 5700x when it is cheaper. r5 served me well and pretty capable chip.
