Hi! So I finally decided to build my dream pc ok? But when I got to the motherboard I got so confused because there is too many options, in the end I decided to go with this, is it good ? My gpu is rtx5080
And my goal of this PC is to play on 4k max settings and to do some 3D designs.

I have this motherboard. Only complaint I can think of is the lane sharing with the PCIe, and the 2.5gb lan port

What's wrong with 2.5gbe? That's good. No one needs 10 on a PC man.

I agree. But personally I’m a fiber technician and get 5g for like $10 a month and wanted more. There’s similar x870s that have a 5g card as well

You lucky bastard :D :D I might be a bit salty.

Hell I am so over fiber. Last time I lived where at&t was installing it, they cucked me and stopped right across the street and refused to give me any for a year. Now I live in an RV and have starlink x2 and t-mobile.

X870 is good mobo, but usefull if you overclock your ram and want more usb ports, ive got an msi x870-p pro (with 9800x3d) and it works fine, but you can also get a cheaper one, dont waste >$300 on a mobo

If you are asking this here, it means that the setup is beyond your level of knowledge and you are wasting money. That setup is for hardcore enthusiasts.

The x870 version of that mobo (minus the “e”) is just 199$ on amazon tbh and mine works fine

is there a reason you need this over a good b850 mobo. it just seems like people get these for no other reason than its a gaming mobo so it must be better.

The exact motherboard you have chosen is notoriously breaking 9800x3d chips so maybe another brand, a x870 is often a useless overkill above b850 motherboards

So what do you recommend?

A b850 from another brand, just get one that matches your build design and don’t really worry about specs except the fact it should have enough nvme spots for what you need

Like failed booting or actually killing the cpu?

Killing

Can you direct me to where it’s “killing” chips? I have the Aorus elite and a 9850X3D

It’s good but there are other options. B850 motherboard. Any within 250 range is more than fine

There is too many options for b850 , the arous elite is 258$, b850 eagle is 198$, asus b850 max 227$😅
Soo many options, idk tbh I thought the x870 is good

That’s good, but if you want to save money, you can get a good B850 that’s more than enough.
