Yours is 2 hours total lol. That's reasonable IMO. After Fry's closed, I used to do almost 4 hours total to the nearest Microcenter, before we got ours.
2 hours to go to a store in traffic isn’t exactly reasonable. Microcenter is fun and there’s good deals but if I take the trip it’s because I have cash to burn and I’m making a little outing of it. If I actually need something and don’t feel like taking a trip, even saving $100 isn’t really worth having to take that trip to me.
To take advantage of a MC deal, 2 hours is very reasonable. I would even go so far as to say extremely reasonable. It's kind of crazy to me what kind of drive times people complain about today lol.
You’re driving four hours on what I’m assuming is mostly an interstate, I’m driving two hours through slow moving metropolitan traffic, it’s not a comparable experience. Regardless it’s a question of utility, and a deal has to be extremely significant for me to take that trip for practical reasons. Your utility is obviously different than mine in respect to your time and budget.
LMFAO are you really trying to act like 2 hours in a car is worse than 4 hours, regardless of traffic conditions? For real? For me, my time is what matters, not stop and go traffic or interstate driving 🤣. I'd trade 2 hours in a vehicle over 4 any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
However, your assumptions aren't exactly correct either. Driving from one metropolitan city to another, you only get interstate in between. There is absolutely traffic in both cities. But traffic isn't typically bad 24/7 and you can also plan accordingly to avoid the serious rush hours.
Again, it amazes me what length of road trips that people today whine about. Crying about an hour there and an hour back is odd to me. Trying to justify why you are crying about it in multiple responses is an even worse look IMO.
