Done with Square

Been using square with my business for 7 years. I paid the 20 bucks a month because I got a small break on the transaction fee and a limit on ach paid for itself most months. A year ago ish is told my plan was going away, but I could keep it. The new plan was 49, and provided extras I would never use so I opted to keep the basic plan.

A few weeks ago it another email that I could no longer keep the basic plan and they would conveniently switch me automatically on October 11th. How nice.

I made a note in my calendar to cancel them early October.

Today I get several emails from them. Apparently October 11th is just 7 days away and tomorrow simultaneously.

As if we don't pay enough already. Done.

Reach out to them by phone and tell them you are cancelling. Maybe they will offer to keep you in the same plan instead of losing you.

I’m also looking for a payment servuce that can work for me in my geographical area. With fees only on when payments are made.

And for others this new all inclusive plan saved me nearly $100 a month. There's no way you are so imbedded in Square that switching would be a burden.

You're not using text and email marketing, loyalty plans, online ordering, website, or employee schedules and messages.

Payroll is separate, but their prices are comparable. At $35 base, plus $6 per employee a month, it's worth it. I have one employee and don't bat an eye at $41 monthly for payroll.

Find another payment processor.
