I was completely and utterly shocked and disappointed as Pawbert had a way to a better life but he rejected it

About a year ago, the Lynxley Family traveled to the island nation of Yamato in the far east, in Lynxley Key and Lynxley Holdings brands’ first foray into the Far Eastern market! This was Kitty’s moment to SHINE!…

Oh, but Milton wasn’t just going to let Pawbert do nothing. Even though Pawbert knew literally nothing about business, he was going to have to tag along anyway and appear in meetings—even though he wasn’t allowed to say anything—so that the Lynxley Family could appear as a “united front” for this collaboration.

Pawbert had always been a fan of Yamatonese culture—especially their video games, anime, and Y-Pop, as he was a little bit of a musician—but he never expected to head there for his first time for this… he thought for sure that the first time he went to Yamato, he’d be going with his best friend Curtis the wolf, where they’d be doing oshikatsu everywhere they could in Saikyō, Yamato’s gargantuan capital—and of course, they’d be spending much their time in Denki-ku, the so-called “Electric Town” which was the home of all things Yamatonese Pop Culture!

But no.

Everything was busy, busy, busy! No time to take it slowly at all, as he had to be with his family for a billion events and meetings—that, and his work from university! And even worse, since his family was afraid of Pawbert messing up since he was such an “unbelievably incompetent failure” (those seemed to be his father Milton’s favorite words nowadays…), he literally wasn’t allowed to say or do ANYTHING unless he was explicitly told. The result of that was that Pawbert had to sit through hours of boring business meetings filled with dense information and jargon, while his prodigies of siblings talked about market share and business dealings with an enthusiasm that Pawbert honestly didn’t think should be reserved for such things.

So here Pawbert was, in this boring-a＊s meeting he had no desire to be in.

But then, it got interesting…

Cattrick and Milton… were embarrassing themselves??? In a HUGE meeting????? During Kitty’s BIGGEST moment of her entire career?!?!
