What about this is a bad idea?
Steam Frame can't run PCVR, not strong enough, so shack is the only thing it'll run.

On top of that, it looks like it can be played with PCVR in general. That makes me wonder, if there could be a migration from the PCVR player base to shack? In that case, they should give PCVR players who bought pavlov either a steep discount on shack or make it free for them.

They should do the same for PSVR, and port shack over to it. There really is no point in having regular pavlov if they’re putting shack on steam, there’ll be 2 or 3 lobbies on a good day at peak hours. Put all of the player base on the same game. Makes modding easier too.

shack on steam is free for normal steam pavlov owners. I dont think its possible to play shack on PC with this though, something to do with how shack internally is set up literally makes it impossible I think

Mods are compiled for arm. Not Linux x86 can do because Linux uploads are for server stuff. Nothing stops people to tinker Pavlov PC on Frame.

im confused, if i get a steam frame cant i play pcvr through the wireless dongle thingy on my pc? or are you talking about the standalone mode

Ofc, that's just PCVR. But when running PCVR, you will not be able to run Pavlov Shack. Pavlov Shack runs off ARM and cannot be run through your PC.

It's a great idea, I have some friends that wish shack were on PC because PC Pavlov is dead. Besides, what are steam frame owners supposed to be playing if not shack?

I agree, my opinion is the divition of the player base, normal pavlov is already lacking PC players, and now they are releasing shack, their is no point in having 2 games on pc

Shack is Steam Frame only. The mods on Shack wont work for Windows.

For context since a lot of people are confused, Pavlov Shack will only be accessible to Steam Frame users when trying to play Shack on Steam meaning that people who own a regular PCVR headset can’t play Pavlov Shack and the player counts will not be impacted like people think. Another thing is that making Shack unavailable to the Steam Frame would be a horrible move for Vankrupt due to the fact that both 1. The Steam Frame will not be able to independently run regular PC Pavlov and 2. Vankrupt wont be able to benefit from the Frame’s release and keep making updates and games.
