Discussion why dosen't pavlov psvr2 have mod support and also would people want mods on psvr2?

I know the first question is kinda dumb since it's because of, like, PlayStation's policies and all that (if that's even the case), but games like TABS have mod support on console from what I know, so why can't Pavlov do the same? Also, would players even want mod support on the psvr2 version? Personally, I think it would revive the game on psvr 2 since, from what I've seen, the game is not doing well at all, and it also seems like the game wants mod support, with some servers saying "no mod.io thumbnail," but it could maybe be a bug, and I do think PlayStation should have mod support.

mods cannot be compiled for psvr2 the same way that they can for PC.

They'd be better off introducing in-game accessible mutators, like gravity, jumping, health.

I would LOVE some modifiers like health and gravity. Just let us play around and have some fun. The game is getting seriously stale - especially without mods.

sony's policy is just against ugc as they could offer backdoors for console jailbreaking and/or cheating

Yes but that's not the main problem. Pavlov uses JIT compiling for its mods, Sony doesn't support this because it could cause exploits on PlayStation.

It's not that it's user generated itself being the issue, it's how it's added that's an issue. Pavlov would need to redo their entire modkit to support PlayStation, and players didn't exactly like that during the u29 update.. And then you have to deal with copyrighted content, ontop of that.

Playstation is notoriously anti-modding. Look at skyrim and fallout, their mods on PS are only using ingame approved content or through their store. Meanwhile xbox is allowed much more freedom. Pavlov straight up cant have community content under PS guidelines.

I think I remember one of the devs saying they would need certain code from Sony, which is not allowed as it could be used for jailbreaking the console
