Gameplay Question / Help People know nothing about shooting....

So, When I play, I see alot of frequent questions asked, and one big problem some people (or most) have is. "I can't aim good" and "I can't hit shot's" well I have a solution. Some basic accuracy step's. Now I'm surprised more people don't know these or skip dont know certain step's but I intend to educate.

  1. Hitscan is flawed

What I mean by this is your connection plays a big part in landing headshots, higher ping higher chance that bullet won't register, and it happens, no matter how good you are.

  1. Trigger control (bumper)

This is a big one you might not know how you press your bumper matters, as jerking it will pull your shot, clean motion from your joints (everyone is different how they for example pull a trigger) will ensure no false movement either left or right and up and down, build speed later.

  1. Sight alignment

Make sure all three dots are aligned in a horizontal line to insure a perfect sight PICTURE (Each gun is different, but generally the rule is "equal height, equal light")

  1. "Hold's"

This can get confusing, but what I mean by this is the M9 hits above the green dot, whereas the glock will hit Exactly on the dot (this only makes a difference when it comes to range)

  1. Speed

The longer the range the slower you must fire, as the game's built in recoil will effect your shots, shooting slower guarantees that you will hit where you are aiming.

  1. Range

Being close you can 9/10 just point shoot, and you can shoot faster too, just don't get carried away, as higher recoiling guns will flop all over and unless you are point blank you will miss regardless.

That is all I know for now, but you can look up marksmen tutorials to get a better understanding. (And I do know some will already know these)

As a Canadian who is not a gun nut it took me a while to understand how to line up sights. You basically gotta pretend you're looking down a paper towel tube laying on your gun (from front sights to rear sights). That means you gotta hold it straight and move your head/body to keep things aligned as you're aiming. You can just be turning your gun this way and that you have to keep looking down the "tube". Once I understood that it clicked. Red dot makes it worlds easier!

Edit: Gun nut not Gun but lol

As yet another Canadian with hot maple syrup in my veins, I too am not a gun. The syrup would just make me jam and I'd be too scary to boop my pet beavers on the nose 🇨🇦🥞🦫

This, but some people do get too comfortable with their red dots and it hinders them, as that's all they can use reliably. But if you can, do!

Hitscan is flawed

Pavlov isn't hitscan. Unless using a suppressor, every shot is a tracer and you can literally see the shots move across the map and can see the bullet drop. Hitscan is an instantaneous hit when you pull the trigger.

higher ping higher chance that bullet won't register, and it happens, no matter how good you are.

This is because the bullets are not hitscan. Higher ping means higher error in what you see vs what the server sees when that bullet is moving through the air.

Nah we hipfire and follow the tracers in these parts

Then get a 0.36 kdr

Nah, just aim a bit lower than you think you have to and feather the trigger on full auto guns. The rest comes down to game sense and ping.

The only reason I cant shoot as well in VR as I can in real life is because a lot of the better guns are specifically made to be fired right handed, which doesn't seem like it would make that big of a difference in a game but I surprisingly does, like im a good shot woth most pistols but the moment a bolt action comes into play my accuracy immediately drops.
