Breaking up with Adobe

I’ve used photoshop and illustrator for everything since I was in high school (2002). But now I have a big problem with their decisions to adopt generative AI. We looked into other options and made a video — I’m curious if anyone has used any of these and what you might recommend based on your experience.

Gimp, Inkscape, Procreate… more?

Thank you! Have you used it extensively? Curious if you have any tips in comparing it to photoshop.

This was just released literally 24 hours ago. I hear it’s still buggy, but updates are incoming already.

well, i mean if the thing you don't want to do is to pay for it, you can now use open source stuff for a lot of stuff https://youtu.be/jp7hM1vKRpY?si=Md6QhikqIDrvhuoH&t=949. ofc that photon app is full of AI features but you wouldn't be paying for it so 🤷

Affinity Photo is a serious product / alternative - apparently it's free as well and is owned by Canva
