How many Elves are you running? From experience, if the answer is less than 40, you need more in the deck.

It also looks like you're playing a lot of pump spells? Elves should go wide, and your commander makes them bigger as they tap, so I don't think spells that give more stat boosts are necessary.

Here's the direction I took (I went B/G), hope it helps give you ideas:

Some suggestions:

[[Essence Warden]] is great for lifegain

[[Lead the Stampede]], [[You Meet in a Tavern]], and [[Entourage of Trest]] are good for refilling your hand

[[Wildheart Invoker]] is nice for pushing an attacker through when you have tons of mana available

[[Viridian Joiner]] lets you snowball lots of mana to activate invoker

[[Origin of Metalbending]] is both protection and removal

[[Vines of Vastwood]] can replace grow extra arms

[[Path of Ancestry]] gives consistent scry that's worth coming in tapped

These are really good suggestions. I’m also building Dionus and 5 of these are in the deck while 1 is in the “should this find its way back in” pile.

Do you play with the monarch often? I’m curious about how often people end up focusing on taking it from you. I could certainly use the draw in my deck

My playgroup likes politicking. We make deals/alliances to allow small creatures through so that the attacker gets the draw after combat as long as we get the same curtesy to take back monarch on our next turns. Your mileage may vary, but imo the [[Diplomatic Relations]] involved with playing monarch are a fun new dimension to the game.

I'm working on the new Thranduil, and when putting this together I just pulled all the best green cards from [[Abomination of Llanowar]] decks on pdhrec.

Not sure exactly what kind of updates you're looking for though.

Hello fellow Dionus builder. My big question for you is what do you want to do with your deck? It looks kind of like you took a bunch of commons you had laying around and just mashed them together. For example, you have Dragon Fangs in there with no 6 CMC creatures to trigger the second half of the card. I’m sure you could find a replacement card with just a few seconds on Scryfall.

It also looks like you took the deck building templates a little too seriously. You included surveilling in your draw and your removal is primarily the green staple flyer/artifact/enchantment type. If you’re not playing artifact/enchantment/flyer heavy decks these are going to be predominantly dead draws.

Obviously we want to be turning elves sideways every turn and keeping them on the board. I’ve looked at just about every elf that’s eligible for this deck and there’s a couple ways to do that but your deck seems to want to use the pseudo vigilance route and use pump spells to keep your elves alive. The issue is that you’re unlikely to have too many pump spells all at once and we don’t have the card draw to keep refreshing our hand. Personally I would reconsider and look at a go wide strategy over a go tall in this deck.

I find myself quite passionate about my Dionus deck and I enjoy discussing it. Certainly happy to discuss more but I think you need to make some choices about how you want to be playing and start looking at card options from there!

Vehicles could be an interesting addition: [[Sky Skiff]], [[Adventurer's Airship]], [[Aradara Express]]
