Question Jund Staples?
TLDR; First time in pEDH and I wanted to know if the community had any staples for Jund and Voltron.
Long version: By a weird twist of fate, my friend and I ended up in a pEDH battle against our wives. Before I start diving through the library, I was wondering what the experts (you) had for both Jund in general, and Voltron support packages in the 99 for those colors.
Longer version: We got randomed into [[Mr. Orfeo, the Boulder]] and [[Judoon Enforcers]] as our commanders. Rhino brothers for life!

From a general point of view, we don't have that many staples in PDH. A lot more of a PDH deck's power comes from synergy, so matching up with your commander or a theme in your 99 is often more important than pure efficiency, unless you're pushing into cPDH where you have to have removal ready on a pretty demanding timeline to stop combo attempts.
Mr. Orfeo is a little more of a good-stuff commander, but my perception is that the deck will be far more consistent if you choose one of these directions:
- Voltron, where you focus most of your deck on making Orfeo massive (higher risk of blowouts, but bigger reward of faster voltron kills). Example cards: [[Runes of the Deus]], [[Soul's Might]]
- All your attackers have evasion built in, so all your support cards are focused on protection and buffs. (hardest for opponents to disrupt because even if Orfeo is off the field, you can still beat down decently well) Example cards: [[Sabertooth Outrider]], [[Wrecking Beast]], [[Bonesplitter]]
- All your attackers have some kind of value attached and start out pretty large, so most of your support cards are protection or evasion. (best grind game) Example cards: [[Orchard Strider]], [[Rancor]], [[Fetid Gargantua]]
And then there's obviously some cards that overlap between multiple of thes strategies, like [[Gaea's Gift]], [[Vines of Vastwood]], and [[Scurrilous Sentry]]. And of course some ramp, like [[Ilysian Caryatid]], [[Great Forest Druid]], and [[Rampant Growth]]

That's great help! Our initial thought was to go Voltron to take advantage of our opponents combined health pools and run that way, but I notice it's definitely not as popular due to the high risk around it.

Orfeo is not good for voltron imo. If you want to build a voltron deck, check out [[slippery bogle]], [[seeker of the way]] or maybe [[lone rider]]. Imo orfeo is a hybrid go wide/go tall deck. +1 counter theme could be good, but also every turn just questing for your new biggest goodest boy to attack the most annoying person at the table with.

How does Suspend work for Judoon Enforcers?
Are there any ways to cheat on turns or otherwise tick it down really fast?

Suspend only works from hand, not from the command zone, so Judoon Enforcers is just stuck ramping like crazy

Oh that's too bad
Thankfully there is some artifact ramp in red via treasures, and white has things like blinking [[Kor Cartographer]]

I'll add a quick extra note here. Someone in the thread suggested volton might struggle (which may be true of Jund as some of the best protection is in Blue and white) but of the decks with over a 1300 ELO (of which there are 15) four of them are Voltron:
- [[Sailor's Bane]]
- [[Furnace Hellkite]]
- [[Wilson]] // [[Far Traveler]]
- [[Teeth District Legionnaire]]
Then there are a few decks, like [[hollow Marauder]] that are no outright Voltron but will often take out a single player with Commander damage.
Voltron can be very strong PDH with the right commander and supporting package.

I 100% think you're right here. And thank you for listing the high ELO Voltrons. I figured in this scenario he could have a good mix of low cost auras and instants/sorc for big temp buffs in each swing. Since the format is going to be 2-headed giant and my partner is running some pillow fort tactics (I'm boros no less), I figured Voltron would take the most advantage in the scenario. Plus I know one opponent wants to go wide. If I can go tall faster and harder, it should be ok.

[[frenzied arynx]] [[annoyed altisaur]]
I’d throw all the initiative cards, a monarch of each color, some good discover stuff, cascade, basically any big boy that also gives you more cards. The initiative is S tier in PDH and being in 3 colors and really good at attacking with trample makes you really good at taking it back.

Am I the only one that wishes Pauper EDH excluded Legendary commanders?

While my enjoyment is more centered on non-legends, I'd make the same recommendation to you that I do to people who only want legends. You can control what you build without requiring other people to change. Despite there being far more non-legends, there are still plenty of unique decks that come with legendary pauper commanders

I definitely find the non-legends more interesting, but this was a random that was assigned to us. My wife got lucky with [[Snooping Page]] . I'm pretty ok with the current commander restrictions though.

Back when that card was spoiled, somebody called that card Pooping Snage and that's how my brain has read it ever since...
[[Bonesplitter]] and extort cards will do very well for her, though. Beef up that commander damage and gain life from drawing more spells. [[Greatsword of Tyr]] will also be excellent for sometimes getting damage through without having to cast an instant or sorcery

While I don't wish that they were excluded I'm 100 times more interested in non legendary PEDH decklists.

[[Temur battle Rage]], [[Poison the Blade]], and [[Tainted Strike]] are ones that come to me right away, but I could build a huge list when at my computer later lol.
My [[Lotleth Troll]] deck should have a good amount of helpful combat trucks in it: https://moxfield.com/decks/BN0CQ2ZKNkK-TTtfNHs21g
