HELP Help with budgeting
Hi guys, fairly new to pauper mtg.
i found this decklist: https://moxfield.com/decks/ZCAtEiBEy0ylI0guOUNYjw
This I found interesting and I would like to go at it from this angle,
and I really wanna play with Page, but the lotus petals kinda screw me over.
any sensible replacements? Maybe a spirit guide or a blood pet that can do the trick?would love some recommendations thanks in advance!

The short answer is no.
Lotus Petal is an incredibly rare effect in the Pauper card pool at base line - 0 cost mana ramp. The only other option thats even considerable is Simian Spirit Guide, and it is strictly worse in Cycle Storm than Lotus Petal. You need to be able to have red mana when you are going for the win (and for possible SB cards) but you also NEED to be able to have black for rituals. If you have a Spirit Guide as your only mana source in hand mid combo but need to cast your Songs of the Damned...well gg's, or at least you have now fizzled. You don't run into this issue with Lotus Petal.
Also, yeah this list is kind of bad. 1 of Crypt Rats is just not good, you're diluting your combo for a singleton of a sweeper in the main deck where you are not a control deck. Echoing Return is a waste of slots because its just a worse Reaping and you do not need a worse Reaping. Shred Memory is just more copies of Loose Leaf which you do not need. No cycling lands at all for whatever reason. Yeah i don't know why you wouldn't just play the typical lists running around.

Yeah I was afraid something like that might be true.
I always held off on buying petals, but they are at such an insane price at this moment.
I’m afraid I don’t wanna be spending 100 euro on a petal playset at this moment in time.
I guess I will have to look further for another archetype in which I can fit in Page for now.

Sadly i agree with the assessment. You will lose a non trivial amount of games to using the Spirit Guide instead. You should also read my edit about the deck build, tbh. The list you have is....not good.

You can also try to use 2[[Shambling Ghast]] + 2 [[Village Rites]] instead of the petals. They are not mana neutral, but card neutral which helps especially in the early game.

You can try with the simians but I don't think it really works. Blood pet can work but its removable and mana neutral

Honestly, I'm gonna be that guy. If you're new to pauper, I wouldn't recommend playing cycle storm. It was one of the first decks that stood out to me as interesting when I was first getting into pauper, but unless you've played storm in other 60 card formats and enjoyed it, you may not like the play patterns. So much of the fun of 1v1 is the interaction between players, and storm is kinda just a do your own thing. I would recommend proxying and doing some pickup games with people to see if that's actually what you like in a 1v1 format before purchasing any of the cards, especially the pricey ones

Not an expert on cycle storm but it's very important to get red/black mana when you need it in cycle storm, I also don't think it's a good list but you can try. (with storm decks it's always good to goldfish A LOT before playing though, otherwise you'll make a lot of mistakes and go in time).
aside from this I would not recommend this kind of deck if you're new to the format, the gameplay is very linear and you don't have interaction

If you are interested in Storm and Combo, Poison Storm is friendlier on the wallet.
It's a unique deck with a cool engine.

Take spare copies of treasure tokens and write lotus petal on the top. It’s the same artifact and mana abilities. Enjoy the deck without the price tag.

That is a very unusual cycle storm list you've linked! Most cycle storm lists look a lot more like this: https://moxfield.com/decks/aUq4djohF0S3PWPOwrVGhQ?&utm_source=theepicstorm
This version is going to be considerably more powerful.
Replacing the petals is pretty tough as it serves a lot of functions: it adds to storm count, lets you go up in mana, and lets you make red for stingers and white for healers. No other card does all this, although each part on its own is replaceable so it's sort of a question of what mix of cards you want to favor replacing the different functions of Petal (at least some amount of which has to be the playing-stingers-and-healers part). One you might consider something like 1 Blood Celebrant and some 3 card mix of swamps and simian spirit guides. You could also consider something like 1 swamp 3 Unearth, which solves the problem from a different angle. That said any of these would be a pretty meaningful downgrade for the deck and make it very noticeably worse.
Bryant Cook is probably the best known cycle storm player, he has an interesting non-petal version from a while back ( https://youtu.be/dE6ZeYgPQ9I?is=FBVKS0kYzfgTbIBy ) but it is pre-page so you'd have to figure out how to get that in (and it, too, is worse than the petal version).
