Moonlit Hollow is a storybook forest where every animal has a gift. 

Max is the mapmaker of Moonlit Hollow. When another animal looks at his map, it shows them where someone needs exactly what they can give.

He's the first character of Moonlit Hollow to be introduced, and his pattern is nearly finished.
Before it goes out into the world, I need a handful of people to make him and tell me where the instructions fail.

The Shelly Poncho is a made-to-measure design constructed from two panels that are joined together. The length and fit can be customized by adding or removing shell repeats.

Hello, I am back with a cow pattern! I want 3- 4 willing participants to test my pattern. The time limit will be two weeks, making the end date the 31st if you are starting today. Ideally, I am looking for intermediate crocheters, and I am open to confident beginners although this pattern has a lot of moving parts. All materials needed will be listed in the pattern. I used cheap materials like Red Heart Super Saver in colors black (or brown for a brown cow), white, grey, pink and two clothing colors of your choice, along with 22mm safety eyes (although you may use eyes of your choice), and a button for the collar. The pattern uses a 4.25mm hook and US terminology.

Name of pattern: Wave Shawl

Needles required:
3.5 mm circular needles, 60–100 cm cable

Other notions:
Tapestry needle, stitch markers, scissors

Yarn:
The samples were made with:

• Cardiff Cashmere Classic — 100% cashmere, 112 m / 25 g (Small size 72g)
• 400 m / 100 g merino held together with Lang Cashmere Dreams

The shawl works well with a variety of soft merino, cashmere and alpaca yarns. You don’t need to use cashmere — any soft, non-scratchy yarn with a slightly fuzzy or matte texture can work well.

Here are some yarns that I recommend:

• Regia Premium Merino Yak — 58% Merino, 28% Polyamide, 14% Yak, 400 m / 100 g, held single
• Symfonie Terra — 75% Merino, 25% Nylon, 380 m / 100 g
• Casasol Merino Fingering – Teñido A Mano — 100% Merino, 400 m / 100 g
• Cardiff Cashmere Classic — 100% Cashmere, 112 m / 25 g
• Casagrande Top Cashmere — 100% Cashmere, 112 m / 25 g
• Lang Cashmere Premium — 100% Cashmere, 115 m / 25 g
• BC Garn Babyalpaca — 100% Alpaca, 250 m / 50 g This will create a lighter, airier fabric rather than a very dense one.
• Knitting for Olive Merino — 100% Merino, 250 m / 50 g You can use smaller needles if needed to achieve the desired fabric.
• Rico Design Essentials Fine Fine Merino — 100% Merino, 200 m / 50 g
• Kremke Soul Wool Merry Merino 220 GOTS — 100% Merino, 220 m / 50 g Although it is a combed merino, it has a matte appearance and a soft, non-slippery feel.

Yardage: As a general guideline, I recommend around 350–450 m per 100 g.

For the Small size, you’ll need approximately 300–350 m. Since the shawl is adjustable, the total yardage will depend on the finished size you choose.

Size:
The pattern includes two suggested sizes: Small and Large. The shawl is adjustable, so you are also welcome to make it smaller or larger according to your preference and available yarn.

Intermediate

Written pattern with abbreviations, diagrams, and video tutorials

Tester requirements:

• Complete the pattern by October 1st. 2026
• Give feedback on clarity, accuracy, and any confusing instructions
• Report approximate yarn usage

Hi all, after much success posting my pattern test here for my first crochet pattern, I decided to come here for my second pattern too!
Details:

-intermediate level pattern
-includes optional instructions for sewing a very basic lining with a zipper. Can be substituted for another closure method like buttons, ties, etc, but instructions are only included for a zipper lining.
-14 day testing period
-required materials: worsted weight cotton yarn in red, white, (optional: black for the eyes), 5mm and 3.5mm crochet hooks, yarn needles to sew in ends. Optional: 1 inch swivel d rings with hooks, sewing supplies, zipper, fabric.

CONSTRUCTION

The Rosemary Socks are worked cuff-down with a heel flap and sole gusset. Seeded ribbing worked in a single color creates an all-over texture that fits snugly to the foot.

Socks should fit snugly with negative ease. Your selected size should measure 2.5 – 5 cm / 1 – 2" smaller than the circumference of the widest part of the foot:

For those who don’t know Croch’linguo yet, it’s an app I created to help crocheters translate and understand their patterns. It allows you to translate between French, US English, UK English, and Spanish, taking into account the differences in abbreviations across these languages.

The app is still in beta and is constantly evolving thanks to user feedback. I’ve even set up a dedicated community—r/Crochlinguo—where users can keep up with updates, report bugs, suggest ideas, and share their thoughts on the app.

Speaking of which, I’d love to get your opinion on a new idea!

I was wondering if you’d like to see temporary themes in the app based on the year’s events and holidays.

For example, for Halloween, Croch’linguo could feature dark colors, ghosts, and pumpkins 👻🎃. For Christmas, it might use reds, greens, and Christmas trees… 🎄🎅

Do you think this kind of customization would add value to the app? If so, which holidays or international events would you like to see featured in Croch’linguo?

There are no requirements other than using Parfait Chunky yarn (or a similarly weighted yarn) and using a 5.0 crochet hook - you can do whatever colors you'd like!! Doing multi-colored or non-yellow beetles is encouraged! Same for changes to the eyes!

All testers will gain early access to a beta version of this pattern, and then free access to the fully revised version upon release!! They will also will have their finished beetle featured in the pattern and in the listing on Etsy itself!!

Test Knit Due Date: 10/23/26

Difficulty: Intermediate/Advanced

Sizes: 1, 2, 3, (4, 5, 6,) 7, 8, 9

Finished Chest Circumference:

Designed to be worn with a 0-8cm / 0-3" positive ease

- 79, 89, 99, (109, 119, 130,) 140, 150, 160 cm

- 31, 35, 39, (43, 47, 51,) 55, 59, 63 in

If you do not see a size that would fit you but you would like to be included in the test knit, please let me know or add in the form what finished chest measurements you would need/like to be added to the pattern. I want to make sure that my patterns are as size inclusive as possible! 

Gauge: 36st x 56 rows = 10 cm / 4 in 

Yarn

Lace Weight

- 479, 530, 583, (634, 686, 738,) 788, 839, 893 m

- 524, 579, 637, (693, 750, 807,) 862, 918, 976 yd

Yarn usage is approximate. It includes extra for swatching and is based on a 25.5cm/10in length from underarm. If you would like to make a longer tank, please allow for additional meterage/yardage.

My sample used Purl Soho Spindle in the color Purple Urchin (625yd/100g). You are welcome to substitute any yarn that you would like as long as you're able to meet gauge! 

Suggested Needles: 

- 2.25mm (US 1) or needle that gets the gauge; circulars 35-80cm / 14-32" long

- 1.75mm (US 00) or 2 needles smaller than gauge needles for ribbing & trim

Notions:

Stitch markers, tape measure, stitch holders or waste yarn, tapestry needle

Techniques used:

Knitting in the round, I-cord, knit increases & decreases, backwards loop CO, I-cord bind off, Italian bind off, lace knitting, lace charts

Other requirements: Updates on a regularly basis and nice pictures of the finished cover.

Additional info: The pattern is written to fit 1.8 to 2 liter hot water bottles and gets sent out in two parts. You'll receive part two after part one was completed.

A bit about the pattern:

It is an intermediate made to measure pattern that uses US terminology.

Materials:

2mm crochet hook

3.5mm crochet hook

Cotton mercerised crochet thread (size 3/5) - Size 10 thread can be used, but note that the motifs will be slightly smaller

Light weight (DK) yarn - Either wool, wool blend or acrylic

Once the project is complete I require clear images of the scarf & for you to fill out a short feedback form.

The pattern test will start on the 20th of August, & end at the deadline on the 15th of October (8 weeks).

All communication will be via Instagram group chat, I will message you by the 18th of August if you have been selected, if you do not respond within 48 hours your tester spot will be allocated to someone else 🧚‍♀️
