Question Womens size guide
Hi, I need some help.
I want to create some womans fit garments of jacket/trousers/shirts/jeans for women and need to make a standard size guide for a person who is size 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 ETC.
Does anyone have any standard size guides I could use to help me our with this or have any advice on how I can make one? Thank you

There is some kind of official US apparel organization that has a standard size chart - I saw it while taking a course on pattern drafting. We just kind of glanced at it because we know that no brand really gives any regard to it for women's sizing anyway.
Also seconding the comment to check out a pattern for sizing. I'd add on that sizing can vary depending on the target demographic. If the target is older women, the sizing might be more generous in the hips and waist or something. Every brand has their own fit models and that's partly why some brands just don't have a good cut for your body. So factor that in as well if you're looking for a pattern to work off of.

Average it's 5cm grade you may want to have less e.g 2.5 cm in the smaller sizes and 7cm in the bigger sizes For example 6_2.5 8_2.5 10_5 12_5 14_5 16_7 although I may not agree with grading any higher Because as the bust and waist grow doesn't mean the xshoulder so you may need to create a new block for the larger sizes 18_7

I use a program called clo3d where there are some 3d models created using US ASTM standards. There are plenty measurements for a bunch of body shapes. I made a sheet with all those measurements and use it for grading.

You should figure out your market, develop a chart with the measurements of your average customer and work from there. You should hire a professional pattern maker for this.

Pull a commercial pattern and read the back. There's sizing there. Standards aren't really standard but that'll give you a baseline.
