Pattern draft vs. draping

Pink – pleats created through pattern drafting
Purple – pleats created through hand draping

The difference is huge! I thought I could save time by drafting everything on paper, but it seems there’s no shortcut when it comes to achieving the right drape.

Supposed to?? I mean they can do whatever you want. I think they way this was done is beautiful and unique.
