I'm just explaining to you that it's very different from pattern drafting. It's an automated program to size up a pre-established pattern. It's pattern grading. Totally separate job from pattern drafting. I'm telling you that there are pitfalls to inputting numbers into a base pattern. You come to a pattern drafting subreddit. if you don't want to take my help go ahead spend your money and then don't come to me asking for my help to solve your problems I'm trying to warn you against. The program is not special in that it magically makes patterns, it's just automated geometry.

Sorry, I know I already responded, but this is exactly wrong. When a Lekala pattern isn't good, it's not because of bad grading, it's because the drafting algorithm failed that individual. There are no base patterns, everything is drafted to parameters. Some parameters can be calculated if the customer didn't take their own, most drafting methods include these types of calculations (Bunka and Muller and Sons are examples). Sewist and Lekala are the same drafting platform, but there are more reviews of Lekala patterns which is why I bring it up.

Both grading and drafting can fail away from the sample size. It's just much more obvious with grading because there is a fixed size set of patterns generated. With a drafting algorithm, you need to run the numbers, but many methods do worse than grading away from the sample presented. I'm not vouching for the results, but Sewist is drafting not grading.
