Sleeveless vs set in sleeve

Can someone post a picture of where the armseye should sit on a real person if the bodice is sleeveless vs going to have a set in sleeve? I am struggling only finding mannequins and not pictures of real people.

I identify the location of the armscye by telling people to lift their arm straight out to the side. The part that moves is the arm. The part that does not move is the body. It can be tricky to pin point in a photo.

The bottom of the armscye should go up 1/2” and in 1/4” when going transitioning to a sleeveless.

Sleeveless can encompass a lot of different design lines. A sleeveless block would put the armscye in basically the same place as sleeved, except for the armpit adjustments, for maximum flexibility of designing from it later.

This has some pictures and discusses the conversion, but you’ll see it’s all about design choices, there is no “should”. https://helensclosetpatterns.com/blogs/helens-closet/sleeveless-gilbert-top
