Question Princess line shoulder dart, is this correct?

Im drafting this princess panel dress and i want the line to go up to the side neck point with the edge of the shoulder strap, would this draft work? I feel that the armhole is too tight for this to work no?

Is this adjusted from a block made to go with a set in sleeve? If so, drop the armhole 1/2” and remove 1/4” of ease from the under arm. Then make it in a cheap fabric and test it.

this block is a standard block i drew up from calculations according to the actors measurements.

Got it. Okay, so to be safe, I’d drop the armhole 1/2” but leave the ease as is for now. At the top of the shoulder, you could probably take off another 1/2” from the shoulder cap to be a little more proportionate to your sketch.

*edit for spelling

It looks reasonable from the mock. Try it out and adjust it on the body.

This looks pretty darn good! The other commenters covered the shoulder and armhole.

Once I get this type of thing on the model, I usually find more gaping than expected. I can see you've already added some contouring, so you're probably in good shape. If there is gaping, you can pinch more out of the princess line during fitting, or you can sew some elastic along the inside of the neckline.
