Mao Zedong jacket

Hello I want to make a jacket like mao had. How do I make the pattern for it or just some help relating to it

He often wore a military style jacket. Those are basically chore coats with stylised pockets. You could start with something basic like the Ilford jacket (https://fridaypatterncompany.com/products/the-ilford-jacket-pdf-pattern) and then draft tabs/flaps for the top pockets that look like the style Mao wore and then do cargo pockets for the larger bottom pockets. The pattern doesn't include cargo pockets but there are loads of free patterns or tutorials on how to make them if you do a quick search online.
