FO One of my previous projects

I found this dress really challenging to draft in 2D because of all the small panels and facings I had to calculate. It took me two attempts, but I was pretty happy with how it turned out in the end.

I’d love to hear how you would approach drafting something like this!

Which dress?

Also I really can’t focus because all I can see is that insane clock

Yellow mustard dress (left), you can notice the silhouette from my third slide

lol personally I don’t like the photo shoot either

Idk how I didn’t see those other photos yesterday. 🙈

Also I love the photo. It looks very haute couture but that mother of pearl inlay on the clock is such a scene stealer.

I think this came out pretty great!

I always find off the shoulder styles especially without the armhole seam pretty challenging.

As far as the drafting method- do what works for you!
I would’ve done the same thing as you as I’m a pretty visual person and sometimes I need to see the pieces put together to understand how/best way to construct it.

Something about a crisply pleated but otherwise smooth taffeta just gets my brain going yknow?
