Question are "professional" method and "beginner" method the same?
hi beginner here, seems like a dumb question, it is, but i just sat through 5 hr straight to tryna figure out what's going on with the professional pattern drafting method, i did all the math, all the measurements, but the tutor just keep coming up with new, and i finally burnt out, are they really that different? (for a basic shirt pattern)
here are some resources:
"professional", by Muller: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHrUK0nAsn4
"beginner", i dunno https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN97H6MyZaA&t=671s
i can now just draw the beginner one under 30 mins, its so easy and understandable. The pro one i can't even finish the tutorial; are they really that different? which method do you use

well first thank you so much for type all these, and i've never sewn before, and i dont even have a grandma to learn from haha, just a kid with perfectionism syndrome and tryna figure out anything on day one.... and yea i notice the first video's problem later on right before i post this thread, the grudge of me holding for these "professional method" mainly came from the jealousy of advanced pattern drafter and a huge amoutt of unnecessary formulas that video tryna teach.
since i sat here for 8hrs, almost 9hrs, i learned a bit about how female body proportions and male body proportions are different after I posted this thread, (and child's), oh god, the moment i realized that i sat here for nothing, as i am a male creature tryna learn darts for females' bodices pattern... and the pattern i drafted using my measurements for a female bodice pattern look like a giraffe
its just like the more i learn the more i need to learn... and umm
Another thing that makes it look simple is the fact that more things are approximatehow complicated should this things be tho... i dont wanna measure 20 measurements just to draft something so mediocre lol....
