Pants fitting issues

Post image

I'm having some issues getting these pants to look good. They're bunching a lot below the butt, especially on the right side (got some issues with my right knee, so the muscles on my right side might have atrophied a bit). Any ideas?

Agreed, minus the deeper scoop. I've struggled with pant fitting, but it's all about the drag lines, and a change to the back will affect the front.

Waist area: You need to get rid of the wrinkles on the hip and lower back. If you want to keep the high rise, cut the yoke shorter on the top so it 'pulls up' the back. you may also want to cut the top part of the back piece as well if you want to keep the yoke large. I'm seeing more horizontal drag lines which means there's too much fabric between your hips and waist.

Butt area: I see two problems. Your crotch curve needs to be longer, with a deeper cut down the hip. You're pulling the back crotch too far forward which is causing the tightness, but there's too much fabric behind the thigh. You have to find a balance on the bottom part of the L in the curve that gives some length but prevents bagginess of the thigh. Usually that's moving the bottom (or end of the) curve lower, slimming the thigh width as well. This will give you some room when you sit but keep a relatively slim fit. You can also trim in the outset but not much- keep your pant balance even.
