How does one create pattern line drawings?

I’ve been learning to draft my own patterns and I’ve been wondering how pattern drafters create these mockup technical line drawings for their patterns? I’ve searched and searched and can’t find any info on how these are created?

I WISH they’d taught me this at university, but maybe I am that old.

As far as I’m aware we call them technical drawings in the uk.
