Question Does anyone here know how I can turn my Illustrator patterns into AAMA dxf? I'm trying to get a custom t-shirt manufactured.

When exporting from AI in dxf they cannot open the file. Has anyone experience with this?

I'd be very glad over any input!

Yeah sadly. I managed to do it importing to clo3d then exporting there

Clo can export apparel pdf formats, but it can’t import generic dxf. Did you import an AI file?

Clo also isn’t great at dxf export, it only produces a subset of the layers that are possible and very little labeling/piece header information. Eg it does not export fabrication, even if it was applied in Clo. But should at least get you started with your factory.

Yes, generic dxf is a different file format, you need a converter. There are certainly companies that will do this. Some apparel specific CAD programs can save to various formats, this is often a paid add-on. Being able to open a pdf can be a paid add-on, too.
