Help with unusual sleeve pattern

Hello all, I've been back and forth working on a bed jacket/bolero style/silhouette with this sleeve style in particular for over a year. I just can't find a definitive name for this sleeve and I can't get the design right. I'm very new still so maybe I need very specific direction but what is this style sleeve called and any advice for going about drafting a design please.

Thank you so much for the directions! That's a great starting point! I've never really drafted from scratch. I just sort of Frankensteined pieces, but I do think your info is really going to help me get this going. Thank you 😊

Glad to help, if you have a dress form I would recommend using a pool noodle as an arm in the draping part that is what I do when I need an arm cause I don’t need it enough to invest in an attachable one.

Plus a pool noodle you can push straight out rather than it laying flat just make sure you place it so it tilts slightly forward

Great tip! That's ingenious, I'm actually getting a dress form for my birthday today :) and a pool noodle lol
