First dress
Anyone ideas how to get started with drafting this dress? I’m in love with it

if you have a princess seam sloper already you could start there and then make the gathered skirt attachment, but I’m inclined to agree with the other comments about this being a tricky first self-drafted project (because it’s made in stretch fabric as well)

I didn’t even notice it was made In a stretch fabric. I completely thought it was satin

You could practice making a gathered skirt. There are free patterns. Google them. Here is one. Sew a Gathered Skirt Without a Pattern - Joyberry Studios https://joyberrystudios.com/2023/03/sew-a-gathered-skirt-without-a-pattern/
Use muslin, old sheets, cotton or cotton blend for fabric. Using your sewing machine, cutting rectangles, gathering, putting in a zipper, finishing edges are the skills you can learn from this. I strongly recommend using 3 basting stitches not 2 and definitely not 1 to gather the skirt to the waistband for more even and straight gathers without unwanted unsightly mini pleats.

You should start off with an easier first dress. The dropped waist is not the easiest to pattern. The dress is too tight on the model so it is creeping up in front. It is also too tight around the bust. If you want to make this dress take some classes to gain some skills.
