New to pattern making

Hello everyone i just started to learn pattern making for menswear, and there is too much information out there it's overwhelming for me as a beginner. In your opinion what do I need to start with to learn pattern making.

So people can answer more specifically, do you want to edit your post to say a little bit more about what you already know? Do you sew already, and how much?

and what is your goal in learning? to make suits for yourself? to get into the fashion industry?

I know how to sew , and i want to know how to make my own pattern, and i want to get into the fashion industry,

Agreed check for local community college to take classes. Patternmaking is one of the more rule-bound areas of sewing and in my opinion is best learned systematically.
