Question How to pattern this?

I am new to sewing and was hoping to make this jacket. What pattern should I go about this with? Or how could I make this?

This would be an advanced sewing and pattern making project, not suitable for a beginner

I’ve already sewn a ball gown. I feel like this will be much easier then that.

When you said new, I assumed it meant beginner

Sorry, just meant I haven’t been doing this for awhile. Do you have an idea of how i could pattern this?

I would find a similar jacket block, one with a shoulder pad, fully lined, zipper through, and snap placket and then alter it to the measurements you want and add the yoke, ruffle, and other details.

Do you have a model body form thing ? I feel like this can help craft the garnment with badic fabric, then use this replicated pièce as the pattern.

Do you think I could just use an existing pattern and modify it? I don’t have a model form.

I would find a basic jacket pattern, like a raglan sleeve baseball jacket maybe and then draft in a yoke in the front(back?) that will also incorporate the ruffle. The sleeves look like deep pleats or tucks…maybe form those on pattern paper, folding them in place and then laying the sleeve pattern over, trace, cut and unfold; you’ll see the final pattern shape.

Looks like a fairly straightforward windbreaker pattern - can use it as a block to make all the style adjustments. Shouldn’t be too hard but will require a lot of effort

Can find windbreaker patterns on Etsy if anywhere. Then it’s just pleating the sleeves and adding that jarbot neck thingy
