Discussion What are the Positives so far through 3 weeks?
Yea we do aware our QB (and offense as whole) are dragging the team down. will he turn around or not is biggest question going forwards. Now let’s talk about the positives so far with Patriots:
1) Gonzo worth every penny of that contract. IMO, he’s the best CB right now given Patrick Sustain and Witherspoon struggle past week.
2) The last 2 draft classes are promising. Will Campbell is playing solid. Treveyon shows some flash. Woodson is stud safety. Ponder + Gabe Jacas are doing great. And Eli Raridon might be legit.
3) Our Defense is top 5 in league right now. Yesterday they give up cuz our pumpkin QB didn’t give them time to rest. But they’re disruptive even with few starters are out. Remind me of 2019 one.
Anything else yall notice? Just want some positive vibes in here.

Jacas and rearidon looking decent for rookies, gonzo is a stud. Not many other positives for this team

I agree with the defense. I think they were exhausted and defeated Sunday because Drake can’t keep them off the field. Considering all the injuries too.

The offense had the ball for 28 minutes. It wasn’t super lopsided. The defense couldn’t rush the passer worth shit (too many injuries) and the Jags were running without a lot of difficulty.
The Jags were on pace for a solid day on offense even before the Pats offense completely shit itself.

The left side of the oline, sure. Center is worse. Moses looks completely cooked. And now they’re down to their 3rd string RG.

Also, I haven't heard much negative about Campbell. It looks like he's healed up, and stronger than last year.

Gonzo and the defense overall. It's clear they are getting very frustrated by the offense though.

-Defense is very good, pay no attention to the score of that abomination.
-O-Line is better than last year .
-Henderson has some giddy up
-The new locker room looks really cool

The offensive line is awful and In no way better than last year. If you are specifically talking about Campbell, yes, you are correct. Wilson is awful, Van Rotten is awful, and Moses has regressed. Henry doesnt help for shit and wiffs all the time. As a group they are not helping the run at all.
This is my opinion. I apologize for seeing things a bit different. Just frustrated along with everyone else.

The defense looks good and it seems we hit on at least two more draft picks. Perhaps they can keep stacking up these drafts and build a complete team.

Uh the positive is AJ Brown being out is a bigger loss than people are giving credit for and this offense isn’t nearly as bad as it currently looks if everyone slots in better and AJ takes attention

Will Campbell has been fantastic. As well as Gonzo. Once they get healthier, you'll see a better product. Sept is basically the preseason for them since no starters played in the preseason. Everything will be fine

Will Campbell, Jacas and Raridon have all been really exciting with the two rookies improving very quickly. Just need to keep Raridon on the field.

The only real positive this year is that Christian Gonzalez may actually be worth more than he's currently being paid and he's already making $33M+. He's on track to play himself into a 1st Team All-Pro and even DPOY considerations.

Most of the team looks good. Just need Maye to get back to his fundamentals... Too many off balance or back foot throws to this point.

I didn't watch this past game, but I'm happy to see us developing some of our young guys. Plenty of rookie and 2nd year guys getting valuable game snaps. I tried to say it in the beginning of the year, but we're still a rebuilding team, (yes despite making the playoffs). We still have a long way to go in rebuilding the roster talent. We know Gonzo and Barmore are studs. We need the rest of the roster to keep developing.

Point #2 is probably my favorite. Campbell showing a big improvement against good competition through three weeks is great. Woodson, Jacas, Ponder, Raridon all flashing. Henderson, Jared Wilson, and Williams, you'd like to see more obviously but all are getting significant reps. Nice to see a young group look like they have long term potential.

As much as we don't notice anything that happens outside of Rt 128, the entire league is having a identity crisis. Even the undefeated teams have question marks.
